Ok, time's up for my riddle.

And the answer is... Final Fantasy I.

I brought hope in times of despair
I saved the child from drowing

This refers how FFI saved Square from bankruptcy wich, being a company founded three/four years before that, was still a "child".

And from my womb,
15 Titans were born.

This refers to all the games in FF main series that came after it - FFII to FFXII, FFXIII, FFVXIII, FFAXIII and FFXIV.
