Prompted me to note that the only thing that got me out of my post Rebirth slump and away from just playing Rebirth forever was the OG game again when the disc one skip ... I definitely had to try and keep Aerith :aeriball: However a streamer friend recommended Persona 5 Royal ... and that somehow became my life instead ... so there's that I guess :pinkmonster: Over 170hrs and not 100% or platinum ... then I started Persona 5 Strikers and have almost 65hrs on that ... Persona 5 Tactica is also on sale currently 💦 I genuinely like this cast so much I'm also considering the dancing/rhythm game and I suck at those. I might burn myself out though.

I do want to play Metaphor eventually but am waiting for Atlus to Atlus and announce the definite edition or something.

I will say my Joker (p5 Joker) was flying solo and not dating any of the ladies though. He has a anyway ;)

Welcome back to Rebirth and hopefully part 3 will also scratch all sorts of itches! 🥳

Another thing I’ve got to say while I soldier (lol) on through the end game: as someone who’s seen Les Miserables a little too much, No Promises to Keep is not a very good show-tune, and it’s a shame that it’s not.

I checked it out and I thought DIGITAL HEARTS (editor) was the one who did that but I see it on other Ultimanias (than the Material Ultimania Plus which had botched translation thanks to AI). They did say they were going to use it more and more though, so I definitely think it's going to be AI-translated too. Studio BentStuff isn't anymore on the cover either, so there's this odd feeling. I would definitely wait to see if it's AI-translated or not, but I don't have high hopes anyway.

I personally don't buy Ultimanias for the Remake trilogy in English, because the translations are vastly different in French.

Who’s the current publisher who said they are going to use machine translation more now? And what the definitive evidence that it was used on the Material Ultimania Plus?

SE said it was their direction for books, I don't remember when but it was around the time the Remake Material Ultimania Plus got released with IIRC some botched translations a human wouldn't make.

i thought it was good that they seem to be bringing over more of these books nowadays compared with the past, but if that's now they're doing it it doesn't sound good at all :sadpanda:

are there any examples from the previous book of the translation?

I don’t remember exactly but the description for the hug in Tifa’s resolution was really bad and an error easily avoidable if a human had done it. A CT paid for a translation of that page and the difference couldn’t be more shocking - and it was a random translator who didn’t know anything about FFVII.

Usually the Ultimanias are translated in French and the fact that this one wasn’t really made me go “wait, this is weird”. I ended up not ordering it because the English translations are too different from the French ones, and I wanted something that followed the French translation. It made a lot of noise that it was AI translated. FYI SE also downsized its translation team :/
