I came about this [...] close to getting the Sun Sigil once after playing for about an hr.. I was about .02 seconds away and I threw the controller at the wall and forever gave up that stupid minigame.

Lightning dodging on the other hand.... I can't dodge one strike to save my life. And I don't get it cause I kill at Vocaloid Project Diva >_<

If it's on the HD Remaster, there is an issue with input lag on HD TV's. You might want to try some of the other settings on your TV, or google the issue. I had that problem as well, and switched over to "Gaming Mode," and it worked fine.

No, even before that.... I had the same issue with the PS2 version, I'm just completely inept at it. :sadpanda:

I think back in the day I managed to get to like 120 bolts before getting zapped. That was probably the ragiest rage-quit I've ever had. :P

How is 200 supposed to be managable? It's like... insane.
It's not.

As I mentioned above, the FFX minigame designers are demons from Hell whose sole purpose in their unlife is to feed on the souls of those who give up their own in order to win their games.

It's like Disney, but with a better soundtrack.

I've done it twice.

Whereas I've actually gotten the Sun Sigil four times.

So that should tell one all they need to know about the evil of lightning dodging. :monster:

Do you think if we sacrifice Tres to the Gaming Gods, we'll attain his knowledge and skills?

I have probably said this before but I actually exchanged memory cards with a classmate. He did the lightning dodging for me and I did some blitzball for him. I was good at that!!

^Might be something to do with this version running at normal speed. Our original PAL version was quite a bit slower than the American one, making certain things slightly easier (like the timer for every one of those mini-games).

I got to something like 170 lightning strikes then failed on my last run XD. I got it in the end using that one spot, but it took me a really really long time to get into a rhythm with where to move and when to press the button. Butterfly minigame I think I one-shotted, but that was the main bane for me when I was younger on ye olde PS2. I think I struggled most with the lightning this time around, but it's the one I was least worried about going in. Weird.

I see. So this may just mean I was good back then because it was, in general, easier :P - What a lie to live! I can't just put it down to slow reflexes on this occasion, no? Just slow reflexes since forever? :awesome:

Blitzball was great once you started levelling up and gaining skills. I kept the original Aurochs the whole way through to level 99, even when Keepa was a shite goalie :awesome:
(Anybody ever get Keepa to level 99, though? Somehwere from about level 80 onwards or so, one stat begins to increase - by level 99,
99 shot
)

Now all we need is a machine for catching butterflies in Macalania Woods.

I know people usually say the Chocobo game is harder but it only took me about a dozen attempts on my last playthrough, while I've never managed to do the butterfly catching or lightning dodging successfully.

Yeah same here, I was never able to get the hang of the butterfly one...

idk I never found the lightning dodging to be that hard, just very long. Usually I turn down the sound (I feel like if I'm listening to the music I subconsciously pick up on audio cues that aren't there), and sit close to the screen in a very dark room. This makes it easier to see the flash :monster:

It is however, something I don't look forward to doing

The Sun Sigil is the Mark of the Beast, and the key to unlocking the seal on the Seventh Circle of Hell, where the developers of Final Fantasy X minigames reside, feeding on the blood of fallen fans, and listening to the cries of their children and the lamentations of their women.

And any of you who say otherwise have already sold your souls in order to achieve the proper alignment of the stars necessary to successfully defeat that damnable bird with a negative time.

^Okay so wait. I have to ask.

Did... did people really think that Tidus's laugh wasn't supposed to be awkward? I mean isn't it obvious by that scene? .___.

Anyway I love that scene and I loved his awkward, forced laugh. It's actually a favorite scene of mine. <3

Edit: ....just saw there's a whole thread made for this okay moving over there now :wacky:

I have never had reflect before I got to this fight.

I have never had the majority of those spells before I got to this fight. Wow.

I always like it when you defeat Anima without an aeon, and Seymour still says the "The power that defeated Anima! It will be mine!" line :monster:
