I don't think he incited... Well, I guess he could have. But I think it was Pulse and the Pulsian fal'Cie that ordered and orchestrated the war.

It's said in the game - they determined Pulse's will and then went about making l'Cie, etc. to fight against Cocoon.

It boggles the mind that they go back to 13 again. I know they're trying to play t safe, but it's a disastrous decision to follow up on a game that left a shit taste in most people's mouth to the point where SE themselves admit it. Didn't they just a couple of months ago report an insane drop in profits because people don't buy their shit?

I think they only started considering a sequel after all that "fastest selling FF" shit. Ja, cause it went cross platform (did they ever give us a breakdown by console btw?).

Am I the only one who kind of likes the way prototype figures look before painted? I kind of wish versions that look like that would be released.

I didn't purchase it, and I only skimmed through it, but there is a one page preview on XIII-2 in the current issue of PlayStation magazine.

Well XIII did turn a profit, so I guess that's why. And I know we love to call the greedy corporate assholes thing, but I'm sure there's an element of pride to it too. To address people's complaints and prove they can make a game people like, I would guess.

There's also the fact that a lot of the artwork, character designs, is already done or throw away stuff from the original game. It's not a brand new battle system, they are just tweeking the old one.

In a way, this game was already half made for them so I can see a company going down the drain wanting to try something easier like this than something completely fresh and brand new.

Not saying it's the best idea, but just that I can see that being a favourable solution.

Here's a mystery word featured in Word to Your Moogle: BRACHIORAIDOS.

Hmmmm... Who or what is Brachioraidos? Anyone have an idea?

I am reasonably certain that one of the dinosaur enemies in Final Fantasy VI was called Brachioraidos in the Japanese version. It was translated as Brachiosaur in the U.S. version. Make of that what you will.

edit:

The Brachiosaur shares its Japanese name, "Burakioreidosu," with the Brachioraidos from Final Fantasy IV Advance, Vlakorados from Final Fantasy VII, and Th'uban from Final Fantasy X. Though the four all share the same Japanese name, to date "Burakioreidosu" has been translated a different way in every game the enemy appears in.
