Has anyone got any tips on completing the Bestiary?

i'm using this list to check off all the monsters:

then just run into an area with battlemania + amped up encounter rate for a bit, it fills up pretty fast

i don't think you need full libra on the monsters either, so that should take some of the pressure off

Yesterday we told you that Jill Nabaat, one of the main villains from FINAL FANTASY XIII,

This actually made me lol.

Has anyone got any tips on completing the Bestiary?

I thought I had to completely libra them, oh man the time wasted.

Also, there are some monsters at the last stage before the final boss- you can only fight them if you rewind time and start from scratch. Just a heads up.

Laura is such a Goddess TBH. I love her so much, not to mention that everytime I compare her characters of Cloud Of Darkness (Dissidia), Angela (Resident Evil), Serah (FF) and Catherine I just never recognize her. She's such a wonder.

I have 99% completion in Augusta Tower. I have been everywhere, 49th floor and 13th floor, fought Proto-fal'Cie Adam twice, etc. I don't know what I'm missing! It's horrifically frustrating.

Please help me out if you can. I just do not know what else to do.

do we really have to spoiler tag map stuff it's not a spoiler in the least

if you've already been to the 13th floor in augusta 300AF then go floor by floor and pull up the map + zoom in for whatever you're missing, it's really the only way

augusta takes second place for most annoying map right after academia 500

Really? Those were fine for me. Also, pretty cool.

As for Augusta tower, I can only reccomend checking the map, and looking for the smallest unvisited parts. You know you can switch floors on the map screen, right? It may help a little bit... I'm quite disciplined with map exploring; have always been, but especially Augusta was long to do. Cool, but long.

Academia was a great last map, to be honest.

Also, I beat Omega for the first time and got its crystal. Is this normal, or I'm some kind of Chosen One? It was not hard, but it was long, so I was already seeing myself doing it 20-25 times, like with Lightning-Amodar.

FINALLY. FUCKING FINALLY. SQUARE, I WANT ANSWERS DAMN YOU. YOU CAN"T GIVE ME AN ENDING LIKE THIS AND LEAVE ME HANGING LIKE THAT. IT'S CRUEL.

All the DLC stuff is nice but truth be told I won't be satisfied until the story is rectified. What happens to Lightning is one of the many things I demand answers for.

Then I wanna know wtf is up with Snow and of course, Serah and Noel. ;-;

I hate to be pessimistic about this, but I'm expecting the Lightning episode to just show us

Caius defeating her, leaving her in the state we see her in during the ending

. I doubt we'll see an actual ending to all this in DLC, and probably not for at least a couple of years.

The ending DLC would actually have to be Snow's, if you think about it. Some sort of CRITICAL EVENT is supposed to happen once the death of Etro occurs, leading to him going to the coliseum to do...whatever it is he has to do to prevent that.

the DLC has been flowing pretty often and steadily tbh
i honestly thought we'd be waiting a lot longer for lightning's DLC

but streaming out the stories while they work on the third installment is a good way to keep the story rolling and keep our attention focused until it's released

Snow's story is being handled as a novel though, right? Makes me sad because I actually think his story could be actually pretty interesting if handled right... and I'll be hard to get a translation.

I don't particularly think Lightning is going to be a new ending but

I'm not expecting it and I would be more interested in just getting answers. Like what she did and why. She seemed to know that Caius had made it so that there was absolutely no way he could lose (either they kill him and Etros is dead, or they leave him alone and one of his plans come to fruition)- and I'd actually like to see her battle with that.

Whatever she did must have been a failsafe. I still don't buy the idea that she would willingly let Serah die, she feels just as passionately about Serah as Caius does with Yuel. And a part of me thinks that the new Cocoon, built without any technology except humans, is going to play a big part, otherwise why would she encourage Hope to complete it if it was just going to be destroyed anyway.

So yeah, not really expecting an ending but I am really excited for the answers.

Rav/Sab/Rav (Building chain), Com/Com/Com (Staggering) and Med/Sen/Sen (Healing duties).

Half an hour there; and at the end I thought I wouldn't make it. He started spawning beasts like crazy. At one point it was me vs Raspatil and 5 more monsters. Had to use 5 or 6 phoenix downs... but I did it!

Kind of. I mean, Pulse and Lindzei are technically fal'cie too since all three are created by Bhunivelz. And Lindzei and Pulse are the actual ones that brand l'cie, the regular fal'cie just chose the people.

It's not quite clear what Lightning is, if she is a l'cie. But even if she "finished" her focus, what would that even be? Caius death? Because that effectively destroyed Etros and the world, that's a crappy focus. And if it's protect Etros, well that failed.

I also think there's an interview that suggests she chose to become crystalized at the end. So I still think that Lightning's working for a larger picture here.

Very interesting, Splintered! I just thought her focus could be something else... like doing something beneficial for the larger picture, so to speak. But I really don't know, of course. Your "theory" and interview stuff sound plausible, actually.

By the way, guys, something I'd like to comment; maybe someone can confirm it.

Obviously, after getting my 160th fragment, I wanted to clear the game and see the secret ending... and at the fight with our friend tri-Bahamut (I like to give him that name), after I killed the two lesser dragons, he didn't bring them back. Is it possible it's something about having all the fragments? It's true I killed it in only 3:11 but still, I thought maybe someone knows about this.

I have a feeling that Etro was given Muin's power, and in that, she was more than just a fal'Cie. Still... Pulse is the ruler of the gods, in the absence of Buniberzei (at least according to legend)! Really, I guess Pulse, Etro and Lindzei are like High fal'Cie or something of the like. It's hard to explain.

(The concept of the fal'Cie makes me think of angels.)

It seems Etro does and doesn't have a brand, the golden symbol that shines in the eyes of Yuel and Serah. It's not placed on the body, perhaps because humans were made from Etro's blood. Her being is already there, if you know what I mean. The sign doesn't appear unless the person is in some way touched by Etro.

Is this the so-called secret ending? Is there something else after the credits of a second play through with 160 fragments.

He says "they did what I planned, they witnessed all the possible endings", ...

I was planning on replaying the Valhalla scene today anyway, so I may just do so. I don't recall this dialog thou speakest of?
