This is just the cycle of FF fans, first they hate the newest entry and call it the worst thing to happen, but a few years later, they turn out and say this was the greatest thing ever to exist. FFXV is going through a similar phase right now.

I've noticed that too! It's the same with Dragon Age - I wonder if Veilguard will get the same treatment years from now, since the "Oh, it's the worst Dragon Age EVER" controversy has happened with literally every sequel upon release with a re-evaluation years later.

Every new entry in a long-running popular series is a 9/11 for fandoms.

It certainly happens in FF, and I guess Dragon Age, but I think the biggest offender for that phenomenon is Zelda. Breath of the Wild broke the trend a bit, but I remember being stunned when I learned that people suddenly liked Twilight Princess, after being convinced I was the only one who liked it.

It is better for something to be controversial, but stand the test of time, and become beloved later rather than the opposite.

FFXV is going through a similar phase right now.

Proud to say I've been a fan since day one released. Even without the DLC and RE, it became my 3rd favorite FF game

I just love seeing Final Fantasy 13 get the love it deserves! I'm glad I missed both the hype and the hate so I could play it without being affected by others' opinions.

I'm throwing my hat in the ring for both a remaster AND a remake, for as much as I love it I still think it had a lot of missed potential. Although I'm wondering where the heck the remaster is??? Why haven't they done it yet?

The description of the Guardian Corps woman says "A female commander of the same security force as Lightning."

The Guardian Corps man's description says "A 'Cocoon Policeman' who acts as a bridge between Lightning and the soldiers under his jurisdiction. We plan to create jurisdiction-based sub-characters such as Sergeant Amodar and Captain Rygdea with this uniform arrangement."

Edit: She looks like she has two left feet.

Reading the GC guy's description gives me a glimpse of all the ideas that never made it into the game. It makes me sad and all the more wanting for a remake.
