Yeah, the setup and world integration of Comrades was really well done and the gameplay was pretty fun. But the grind was oppressive, imo. There's a lot of a content, I don't know why they felt the need to pad it out so much with level grinding.
This game is the epitome of the proverb "Too many cooks spoil the broth."The project was such a mess that SQ even considered that lol.
"Eidos were making XV" is a bit misleading. From what's on the article it doesn't sound it was something as drastic as Square giving Eidos what was done with VSXIII by the jp devs, asking them to re-do it and later take it back to the jp devs and ask to rework Eidos progress.https://www.trueachievements.com/n49721/square-enix-final-fantasy-xv-developer
Oh wow, holy shit.
The project was such a mess that SQ even considered that lol.
There's nothing indicating that XV was planned to be a trillogy other than a made up rumor. Most of the game's problems stems as a result of little development time imo, and multiple changes during production (trilogy then condensed to one game and other side-projects)...
I think it was mentioned by Nomura an interest in doing more sequels (hence the A World of Versus tagline), but I have to look into that. There's nothing indicating that XV was planned to be a trillogy other than a made up rumor.
