IT WAS THE MOST EPIC EVAR :monster:

I...I'm not in the proper condition to give a proper review, as I am currently fangirling too much. I'm just going to say that it cleared a lot of things up in AC, and the Cloud and Sephiroth fight was teh awesome.

I'm just a tad disappointed that the other AVALANCHE members didn't get new action. :( Though Tifa did :awesome:

There was also too few Aerith! But moar Zack = WIN. XDDDDD

CLACK FOR CANON :faint:

Tifa never got any action in this movie, as far as I've heard, :monster:.
Especially not the kind that matters - girl on girl. :duhard:

I knew you'd say that. And I agreee :monster::awesomonster:

I thought there wasn't enough Aerith too. ;_;

Actually there was...

Though it was more on Aerith dying :'( No other Aerith scenes added but the dying scenes...

Edit: TTLY RITE :monster: Clack has moar proofs than Clerith LOL

I loved when he said something like "Weren't you a SOLDIER? I know you never made it, but it's the feeling that counts! =D"
Zack is epic. <3

I got 5383, lolz :monster:. Some pointers for increasing possible speed:

* Turn off up / download limits.
* Increase your Global Maximum Connections and Maximum number of connected peers to something high - I have it at 300. In theory, this figure is unlimited, but more likely than not your router will prevent you from ever reaching that amount (i.e. it can't handle 300+).
* Configure your router for port forwarding. I don't have access to my router, grmbl.

Oh, this is going to be amazing. I've watched only tidbits and they, by themselves, are amazing. The little details do add up as far as I can tell. Can't wait to watch the whole thing.

A question.

They said that " In the FF7 flashbacks **** does the narration, which’ll bring fans to tears. "

Who this is person?

None other than Marlene. I don't see though why they (Nomura?) would say it was a tear jerker. There's nothing sad about listening to Marlene.

Awesome, the download completed. I'll list some stuff I notice that nobody has posted about afaik. It runs pretty smoothly on my computer as well, although there is some delays and stutter here and there that is only noticeable when you look out for it. Might also be the encode, dunno.

* In the opening scene, there's a load of small, jerky movements in Rufus's wheelchair, instead of smooth movements. Attention to animation right thar.

* The snow looks a lot more detailed, but I can't be sure if that wasn't there in the original - it's been a while since I saw it, lol. The scene is longer though (the northern crater one), but I dunno what new stuff is in thar due to a lack of subs.

* Wasn't the Lifestream green in the original? It's blue right here. We need to change our site's color scheme now, :(.

* They must've hired a three year old for Marlene's voice or something, it sounds younger than the original.

* Is it me or did they add a collar to Seph's outfit in the flashback? Can't remember that from earlier.

* Har, moogle =D. And it smiles, =D.

* Holy shit, details @ Edge.

* They've given the monument colors.

* There seems to be a bit more reflection and whatnot in the bar.

* lulz, book on medical science. Didn't know Tifa knew Engrish, :monster:.

* Dirty glove is dirty.

* More reflections in Cloud's glasses? I'd like to think so. Edit: Gah, it's half-transparent, ghey.

More later.

Really? With the whole mention of fans-will-go-teary, I was really expecting it to be Aerith or at least Zack o.o

disappointing shit is disappointing.

Most of the new scenes add little past the new scene with Denzel, the one with marlene, and the Sephiroth battle.

EDIT: I'll have to comment on the new visual fidelity when I have it in better quality.

he was just doing marketing. the same can be said about the whole "we added this climactic ending from the original 20-minute version"... yeah, right.

Did they change the handle on the masamune? Looks different, or maybe I just never paid attention to it.

I think they said they added the climatic scene from the original 20 minute movie. And that is when all the children to go Aerith's church. I never head anything about adding the ending.

And yeah, I also thing there was marketing in there too. I must say I would have felt nostalgic if the narrator was Aerith or Zack though.

* Little bits of light shining on Cloud et al when Yazoo shoots. Win.

* The music is a lot more suitable now. It fits the movie, instead of being more random tracks they've stuck into the movie.

* Did they change the name of Healin to Healen? They did. Hrm?

* Rufus's blanket looks even more realistic, with additional self-shading and I dunno what other 3D tricks they've pulled out of their sleeve. No clue what he's saying though, lol :monster:. The music in this scene is a load better than the original though.

* Tiny flecks of dust shimmering in the church, woot. Looks more like static though, but that might just be me or the encoding.

Speaking of the encoding, it causes colors to not blend as well anymore, and at some points cubing and I dunno whatnot. But that's only logical.

* After Denzel's flashback scene, I must conclude that Square-Enix is the best CG movie manufacturer of all time. Pixar / Dreamworks got nothing on them, and the (in my book) previous record holder Blizzard has been dethroned. If only I knew what the fuck he was saying, lol :monster:.

* The (Zack) flashback scene seems to be less confusing and weird.

* The post-flashback scene (Cloud getting an attack) seems to indicate that it happens at the same time Kadaj does his cosplay. Never would've guessed that in the original, if that's what they intended to convey back then.

* They should've changed the music in Tifa's fight scene, it still sucks / doesn't fit.

* loving the details. They redid the windows, and the light coming off of it shines on the characters.

* They added a very few short flashes - Tifa's boot on Loz's chest, for example.

* omg lesbian pedo action, Marlene cops a feel. Was in the original also, just adding that for justice :awesome:.

* Cloud saving Tifa / passing out definitely has new music, largely based on FFVII's 'creepy' music. A lot less sudden / happy as 'Water' was, just. If I still had my FF music collection, I'd go and look up what it was based on. Unless y'all already know that, lol :monster:.

More in a bit.

Nomura: "there’s a scene added at the end. This was original the climactic scene from the ‘illusive 20 minute version’ Nojima wrote at the early stages."

go figure, I know it was translated, but still it makes you believe it would have something to do with the letters and Tifa to be the messenger. Never saw how it would work for AC anyway, but I had some hope for them twisting it somehow to fit the plot, oh well.

* Still no clue what the wolf is supposed to be. Or I've missed the discussion on that area back on ACF, which is quite likely, :monster:.

* Also, they've added a chocobo to ACC. A wood-carved one, but still, :monster:. Yes I know that was there back at the start of the movie, stfu.

* The movements of the kids in the truck does not correspond to that of the truck itself. They should fix that in AC Über Complete, lolz :monster:.

* Did Tifa have earrings in the original? Don't remember 'em, guess they added 'em. Not very practical, mind.

* They added tidbits and whatnot in Cloud's fight with the SHM, which (imho) makes the fight better to follow. Slowed things down here and there, added some flashes, etc. Just.

* Is it me or did they rewrite Cloud / Vin's entire conversation? Dunno, lol.

* It's made a lot more obvious that Kadaj is (some form of) Seph in the conversation with Rufus, which makes the intro of Seph late on in the movie less like a 'zomg a random final uber-boss appears!'-moment.

* They should've made the music louder in the bit where Bahamut appears, doesn't do the epicness of the track any justice this way when it's overshadowed by the sound effects.

* Just saw the Bahamut fight with my roomies, one of them who has played FFVII back in the day but (obviously) doesn't remember much. If there's subs available tomorrow and if I can get it onto a DVD tomorrow, I might show it to the both of them. Except that he's the type that always goes 'omg wuts dat' during a movie, which is asdf.

* lulz, mounted guns on the SHM's bikes.

* Elena's hawt btw.

cba to list the rest, too much awesome.

* The blood isn't as bad as people have made it out to be. Goan watch Hellsing, and nothing will be gory enough again, lol :monster:. It's over nine thousaaand times more than the original, okay, but still.

* In the final titling, they have a 'croud simulation artist', lolz :monster:. Terrible mistake there. By the way, why did they do all the texts about the creators in Engrish?

* Hawaii driving scene / titling is just, and they've got a load of other scenes than they did in the original thar. It's most likely an experiment on how / if they can add realistic looking CG to real footage, but they've done a good job with it.

* The flowers after the credits look 100% real. Most realistic ones evar. Might also have to do with the Hawaii scene just before though.

Phew. Very good movie, better than the original, and certainly worth the extra effort they've put into it. This'll probably be the first movie I'll get / watch if / when I get the funds and arsedness to get a proper HD system.

Edit: Also, the imagery and screenshots really point out details that you'd usually not see. Seph unfolding his wing is like a two-frame scene or something, yet it was caught on screens. Same with Dacon's post above.

...okay, maybe not two frames, but it's fast enough for people that aren't watching it frame by frame or for the first time to not be noticed.
