I have no doubt I'll be able to do them, but...ugh, I don't wanna. Should have done like 4 last weekend and 4 this weekend. Ah well. I mean...it's not like it's the last minute. The shower is next Sunday - I could do some next Saturday

I think you've got the cause and effect backwards; it just snowed again because it is cold. And, well, it is cold because a cold front moved in, and the extremity of the season is most likely due to climate shifts which have resulted in seasonal differences becoming more extreme.
