When in doubt, blame the dresspheres. The point, though, is that Shuyin is merely an incomplete shade. Not a typical autonomic as per the images on the farplane, but an incomplete unsent.

Furthermore, what about Tidus leading Yuna out of the Farplane, or even existing at all - even if in Dream State? Is Tidus just a manifestation of Yuna's love??

Sort of. He is roused (and later sustained) from the dream of the Fayth by Yuna's desire for him, which is something of the point Bahamut was trying to make.

The LS and FP may not be the exact same, but the principle is still there - spirits do tend to live on in some form or another. So far, of what we've seen in both LS and FP moments, the spirits are capable of new thoughts. (Something I did find weird.)

Well, if you realize the mind is essentially 'running program' and the lifestream as a medium capable of emulating a brain, it's not all that weird.

However...would the Cetra ever be reincarnated?

Spirit powers being genetic in nature strikes me as kind of silly, but oh well. But I'd say yes, the Cetra are just as subject to the cycle as everyone else is.

Okay, so then we're arriving to the conclusion that Unsents are spirits, right? I mean, to say they're a manifestation of someone's memories is out of whack, because these "celestial" beings are capable of... creating new memories. o_O At least, they convey thoughts that are relative to the situation at hand.

Either way, in the end, one can say that Zack and Aerith would be happily... er, living together in the Lifestream because they exist in some form or another. And that's enough for me. XD

I think it could be safe to say that. They may have become glowing tendrils of green light but we could always assume that their tendrils are wrapped together or..something?

Unsent are specifically speaking the last consciousness of a person who desperately wishes to remain alive for some reason or another, a consciousness that has attached itself to the farplane medium and created a form for itself.

Auron and Maechen, and in a different sense Tidus are all unsent.

I'm not sure if Bahamut was being literal, or simply warning Yuna not to squander what he was getting, but yes, that is what a literal read of the dialogue suggests. And yes, it is trippy.

Co-existing. And when they go on the cycle, one can be Cid and Sierra's kid and the other Cloud and Tifa's kid and they can cause their parents all sorts of trouble what with being corporeal and kids again.

Addendum: Further distinction-
Dresspheres are in general the memories of an entity, such as Maechen and the Black Mage sphere (and his unsent exist for 1000 years alongside the sphere), without the active consciousness. Lenne's sphere was specifically noted, IIRC as being a little something extra on top of the normal.

And with certain differences, spheres and materia are essentially the same thing.

I've been a fan of this pairing for quite awhile before Crisis Core, though I admit to being a fan of AerisxSephiroth prior to AC. (Don't ask, but before AC, I found some pretty good fanfics that made it plausible without going OOC). That died out with the continuation of FFVII, lol.

With AerisxZack, there is no danger of OOC. The pairing is a fact in the past, and why not in the future? Granted they are both dead, and the way the lifestream works makes it impossible, but if Aeris had the powers to bring his consciousness back multiple times, I don't see why she couldn't again.

After playing Crisis Core, it further reinforced my belief in this pairing.

I found Zack to be a much more interesting character than Cloud, as he was so full of life. Aeris has a special place in my heart, and I feel that her character matches so much better with Zack than any character. Their interactions proved this to me.

I love this couple. Why? Because they give life to the hope of young love that can actually last through time and endure obstacles. It's your classic love story that actually has a bunch of realism to it. Of course it's not the happiest, sunniest relationship ever, but it never stopped them from strengthening their bond.

We all know they both die, and no one screamed: THEY'RE TOGETHER NOW. But, I mean, with all the hints from Crisis Core and the fact that they're both happily in the Lifestream, it's just senseless to think that they aren't together...or that they aren't eventually going to be together. They are two people who are bright and full of life, you can see that they're happy with each other's company and they compliment each other well. I cannot find any other two characters that fit each other more than the two of them. :monster:

I think the CC Ultimania clarified that no...they never...did it sadly.

They had a chaste, young love. Such a shame really.
