Sir, sir...
SQUALL IS DEAD!
And that brings us to the end of Disc 1.
1. This game could be more action-y. IGN said that the gameplay was the games weakest point, A case not helped by the fact that this game was released in 1999, the same 1999 in which The Matrix was released. How to fix this: DROP THIS TURN BASED MADNESS AND ADD EPIC BULLET-TIME-LADEN GUNBLADE FIGHTS!
2. The Soundtrack is still underwhelming. Get Rob Dougan or someone to remix Liberi Fatali, and maybe add
Blackbeat by Apollo 440 to the train detaching scene.
3.
If GameSpy says he cant be a soldier, What can he be? A Cop? A Spy? A racing driver?
4. I am told that Square has bungled the much touted love story between Squall and Rinoa. Jeff Lundigran of IGN criticized how Squall and Rinoa do not expose their feelings for each other until very late in the game, stating that "considering that the love story is so integral to everything that happens—not to mention forming the central image of the box art—it's incomprehensible why no one says 'I love you' to anyone, ever." I am also told that there was a dating minigame and vague references to sex in FF7. Maybe they could have added those to FF8. (Yes I know they're just 17, there are soaps and films featuring characters the same age as Squall and Rinoa explicitly making love.)
Any other ideas?
