I've actively chronicled Jen because I found it interesting. But I do the same for all lolcows. The Jenova character from the FFVII house saga is still active to this day and appearing in fandoms. Makes me wonder if she'll ever return.

I do have a strong tendency to mimic those characters I identify with from popular fictions; however, I myself have had to, in a way, write my own mythology about myself, because I came up a songwriter.

So in a way, I became the main character of my own life. Hearing about people like this makes me gravitate towards disassociative identity disorder as an assessment of what might be going on. People aren’t able to process what they’re going thru mentally, so their psyche generates a new identity for them in order to be able to process it.

It seems like it must be some kind of defense mechanism of the human mind.

I made an account to share some of my thoughts.. I'm aware this thread hasn't even been posted to since 2022, but I figured someone would still be looking into this still LOL. This will be a long and confusing post so bare with me.

Anyway, I wanted to bring up the possibility of Catherine not being "Sarah" OR "Aeris", but actually being the other person in the Sarah Saga who was Sarah's friend. The "something" person, "something" actually being the character name Sasarai. Catherine is cosplaying Sasarai in the photos of her that were posted, and I just haven't seen anyone point this out. We don't know which character "Sarah" was going by, but we know it wasn't Sasarai, since The Bishop Something was meant to be The Bishop Sasarai, the friend. I feel that when it comes to things like soulbonding that "casually" cosplaying a character probably isn't common. In other words, I think Catherine cosplaying Sasarai probably means she was actually Sasarai from the story, NOT "Sarah".

I also wanted to bring up the possibility of "Sarah" actually being Jen. Obviously Catherine isn't Jen, but we know she knew and was friends with Jenova and Hojo. IDK. Maybe that sounds crazy but it makes more sense to me than Catherine being Aeris. Never felt like Aeris was THAT crazy in Zack's accounts of her, seemed like she quit being friends with Jen and Hojo because they were to crazy. Seems weird for her to go off making up her own religion about soulbonding and what not after dropping Jen and Hojo for being to crazy about that stuff. Defintley seems like something more up Jenova's alley, and even with the way she acts in the accounts of the Sarah Saga.. reminds me of Jenova way more than anything Aeris ever did?

I think Catherine is a totally seperate person from Aeris.. I think Catherine is a friend of Jenova's and I think "Sarah" MAY actually be Jenova... Not sure if this has been brought up or debunked, but thought I'd share my theory anyway

My exposure to this has only been through Fredrik Knudsen’s Down the Rabbit Hole of it. And I just thought that Zack always seems to have crappy luck. Funnily enough, I think this occurred before Crisis Core so he truly was just a very minor character at the time.

I still can’t fathom the idea that anyone would think being Hojo or Jenova in another life is good. Like… talk about a red flag.

Look up "Snapewives." This concept crept into the FFVII fandom through Sephiroth with more than one member.

EDIT: The ACF craziness and FF house were two different stories, I'm talking about ACF mostly.

I’m vaguely familiar with the story, I believe. Somewhere between “Super Abusive Cosplay Cult” and “Roommate Nightmare Descending Into Madness.”

I’ll say this, a healthy fear of other human beings has kept me alive more than once, and I’m thankful for it. There are some real disturbed folks out there.

I managed to find the Zack x Cloud site "Zack" from the story ran back in the day that got Renee's attention in the first place. No retelling of this whole saga ever bothered to show it, which made me think the whole thing was fake because I couldn't find it anywhere, but now I believe this whole thing a bit more.
