Dammit the ONLY reason I got a PS3 was to play these games... they said over and over that they would NOT be releasing it for PS4.... alright so I wasted money on that...

Ugh, just when they're releasing 2.8 that is much closer to Kingdom Hearts 3, now they're re-RE-Releasing the previous games to port up console all over again.
Next they'll re-release 2.8 for PS5 and port Kingdom Hearts 3 to PS5.
At this rate, we'll might as well wait until 2025 before they'll finally release Kingdom Hearts 3. God-Plonkers Square and Nomura, WHY do you do this to me!?
Sorry. Had to rant, and just when I noticed new screenshots for Kingdom Hearts 3 just about ten minutes ago. I was excited when I saw those and I thought, "Yes! They're finally getting closer" and then I saw this and it came back crashing down again, RIIIIIGGGGHHHT back to square one.

They should've just made Dream Drop Distance "Kingdom Hearts 3" and then make A Fragmenty Passage "Kingdom Hearts 4" and then have the real Kingdom Hearts 3 "Kingdom Hearts 5-the Final Chapter".
But no, they decided to take us back in time over and over again while we grow older to the point that he doesn't want the old Kingdom Hearts fans to see Kingdom Hearts 3. Just those of the 2010's to see it, not the ones who first brought into the series back in 2002.

Call me crazy, but I would've preferred a total and complete overhaul and make all the old games look as drop dead gorgeous as Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue does (the demo play at NYCC '16 had me very impressed).
But I'd also be more than willing to throw more money at S-E for a complete KH collection for the PS5 (or PS6? 7?) that looks like KH3 or better. Why? Graphics looking amazing aside, it'd be nice to play each entry with seamless progression and no graphical shift between.

I'd much rather leave them as they are and just focus about the future important titles like Kingdom Hearts 3 and not having to re-play the previous games in new HD over and over again.
Please, please, please, please, PLEASE don't jinx it! If that happens, then Kingdom Hearts 3 will NEVER be released! I want Kingdom Hearts 3 for PS4 and in 2018, not 2030.

Or why not just have Square just cancel Kingdom Hearts 3 and only focus on other games instead to break the hearts of Kingdom Hearts fans?

Just to clarify, I wouldn't want KH3 delayed further. The hypothetical PS4/5/6/7 KH collection would encompass every KH game, including 3 (and whatever follows if they go beyond with KH4, 5, etc). I never said I'd want such a thing without KH3 (one would hope by the next-next gen PS, KH3 would be long since out).

Sorry. Maybe next time, say it a bit more clearly so I don't go into a meltdown. Ten years of waiting and waiting for another two or (Odin forbid) three years, and it's driving me crazy, even with the spin-offs and prequels, those I could still handle. But not the constant re-releases of the previous titles.

I'll probably wait to pre order this to make sure the loading times and glitches have been fixed, but I'm really excited... I mean one of the things turning me off from fighting Terra and what's left of the data org fights I have is the load times, it's like a 45 second or longer wait each time x.x

Well it just sounded like that it would get into people's heads of wanting the previous Kingdom Hearts games for PS5 since now that this is happening, Nomura would probably want to keep up and have 2.8 ported up for PS5 which would cause people to start going on about wanting the previous Kingdom Hearts games on higher quality and then that'll eventually be heard by Square and it's the constant saga all over again, pushing Kingdom Hearts 3 deeper and deeper into nothing.
And I don't care about the high quality of the games. I've played the previous games so many times in the past and the quality of then back then was just fine. In fact, HD is the least important thing right now. I don't care if Kingdom Hearts 3 has low quality or high quality, or a few mistakes because there's still going to be odd mishaps somewhere, I just want Kingdom Hearts 3.
Besides, nothing is ever perfect.
