Kingdom Hearts III

I would get 3D since I against all odds actually own and adore a 3DS, but I'm not convinced I would play it which is what bugs me. I have an odd relationship with Kingdom Hearts. I played I and II on the PS2 and I was super hyped for 1.5 but I stopped as soon as I got to Agrabah and I haven't picked it back up again.

And what's even scarier: I don't give a shit about picking it back up again. I don't even own 2.5. The last one I finished was BBS on the PSP and that was fantastic (I thought) but I'm just not hyped for this anymore. I'm hoping a new trailer will reinvigorate my love for the franchise.

I have a more casual, but still definitely real, interest in Kingdom Hearts. I don't go out of my way to play entries, but when the opportunity presents itself I will. I've played I, Chain of Memories, II, and Birth By Sleep. I enjoyed them, especially BBS. I have 3D and intend to play it, but I have no intention of playing the others. I got 2.5 simply because II and BBS are probably my favorites. But it'll take a lot to push through Atlantis.

BBS is definitely the one I like best. 3D is when the franchise finally managed to confuse me, and while fun, I didn't find the plot as compelling.

Might as well just wait for the Jump Festa to see the trailer of KH3 if they're also putting up KH 2.8 online as well as a new trailer for the event tomorrow or monday.

Okay....forget what I said. (shrugs) Oh well, least that's something. I still doubt(or hoping it's not) that Toy Story's in KH3.

Sure it's a fun movie, but if they want to add it, they might as well create a brand new world-alternate universe world kind of thing where there is a world where all Toys that are forgotten end up in, similiar to how those who lose their homeworlds end up in Traverse Town, with a new storyline away from the original Toy Story franchise.

I got involved in the series by playing KH II first, and despite me not a big fan of Disney characters in your main party, I ended up really enjoying the game and the original characters. Then I played Re:Chain of Memories, which was okay (that battle system was an experiment gone wrong ), and the only other two I've played is BBS and 3D. I've never played the first one and have never been interested in doing so, oddly enough.

I agree with BBS being a favorite, and story-wise I think I even like it more than II. I loved having to play as all three characters before you got the whole story, it was loads of fun to see the different viewpoints.
3D's best moments is in the beginning and the end; the middle lags a little I think, but the stuff that happens at the end is fantastic and moves the story along pretty well.

I wanna see more Terra and Aqua though. If they're not in KHIII I'll riot.

I think KH3 and 2.8 would've been fine in Unreal Engine if Square didn't use the Kingdom Shader program. It would've been a whole lot better, especially with all of the Disney characters(like in the ending in KH2, how they made Mickey absolutely adorable in FMV-or whatever it's called-and how it fit Donald, Goofy, Sora, Riku and Kairi perfectly like the FMV movie scenes in FF games and AC FFVII) without the Kingdom Shader.

But hey, I knew they'd show the trailers from D23, so I'm not surprised. At least we finally get to see them.

Update-29/2/2016: Looks like 2017 is another Kingdom Hearts 3 no show considering what I'm understanding, and I have a feeling that 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue will end up delayed for next year, so, meaning, 2016 is another year of no new Kingdom Hearts, and I seriously doubt that Unchained X will ever be released outside Japan-Much to my irritated frustration, despite that I have other things to do, I'm just sick and tired of them delaying Kingdom Hearts 3.

Master Xehanort's new English voice actor discussion

I just thought of something and while I'm certain it'll most likely not happen...

But do any of you guys remember british actor James Earl Jones? The voice of Darth Vader from Star Wars and Mufasa in the Lion King?

While I'm aware that he's 85 right now, but while he's still alive, do you guys think he could be the voice for Master Xehanort in KH3 if(and most likely) late actor Leonard Nimory didn't get the chance to voice Xehanort for the game before his death last year?(R.I.P Sir Leonard)

It'd be so cool to have him and Mark Hamil(the actor of Luke Skywalker in Star Wars and the voice of Eraqus in KH Birth by Sleep) to reuight after more than 30 years in Kingdom Hearts 3.

The Key to Return Hearts...could it be the Key Sora wielded in last year's trailers?

I'm not sure if you guys remember the new keyblade Sora was wielding in the recent KH3 trailers, but I just remembered the Key to Return Hearts Sora's setting to find this time.

Then I discovered my own theory. Do you think that the Keyblade Sora was wielding in the trailers could actually be the Key to Return Hearts to track down members of Organization XIII to free them from Xehanort's pieces of heart that turned them into clones to return them to normal?

Okay still not completely caught up but I've read up on Braig and Isa and stuff. I think at one point Lea is going to be in trouble, or about to be killed or something, and that will snap Isa out of it and he'll save him. Cause friendship in his heart is more powerful than Xehonart and stuff

Like I'll seriously be surprised if there isn't some form of that in the game

As shown with their hoods down, that I know, since Xehanort's youngerself(Young Xehanort), Ansem(his Heartless) and Xemnas(his Nobody) don't really count, since they're all him from different parts of time.

But then again, the other hooded figures are still unknown, so it's pretty obvious that they all have pieces of Xehanort's heart inside them as they were originally their own people like Braig and Isa.

I'm pretty much hoping that Lea will be able to snap Isa out of it, and I was actually thinking, the two of them could most likely end up fighting each other, and Lea will be guilt ridden and, despite believing that it may be too late to save his former friend, he'll apologuise for what happened to both of them and is about to be killed when Isa, hearing those words, finally snaps out of it and gains some control and saves Lea's life.

I hope Isa will be saved. I like his original person better than his Nobody(because Saix's an ass.)

But honestly it's why I liked him so much. Though I'm wondering now, wouldn't Saix know that Kingdom Hearts wasn't the only way to get a heart... why did he want it so badly then if he knew what was going to happen?

Also you know how they say in the trailer that it's already written that darkness prevails? Well this theory has probably been put forth already but I'm wondering if somehow Sora becomes a heartless again, and his heartless battles Xehonart and wins... thus darkness sorta prevails?

Actually I'm almost positive that will happen because that will temporarily bring back Roxas so he and Axel/Lea can have a quick reunion. SO yeah, figured out the ending to Kingdom Hearts III for you guys, you're welcome

Oh I'm behind, I've only done KH, KHII and CoM... although I know what happens in BBS I haven't played it yet... same with 365/2 days... I kinda lost interest over a while but it's piqued again so I'll probably get going on that.

Yeah, just because we won't see any Final Fantasy worlds(like Midgar, ect.) doesn't mean that we won't see any Final Fantasy characers in Kingdom Hearts 3.

Besides, we'll most likely see Yuffie again, this time in her Dirge of Cerberus outfit I think(since Sora's getting a new outfit) since, in the KH universe, she, Aerith, Leon and Cid were born in Radiant Garden. The only ones who won't get an outfit change are Cloud and Tifa since they both still wore their Advent Children attires in Dirge of Cerberus.
