I have a theory on this since Nomura said he wanted us to focus on KH2.8 first before KH3 to understand the future long-awated title better.

Maybe the ending scene of KH 0.2 will be the recreated scene of Sora finding Eraqus's Keyblade on Destiny Islands(from Lumious Engine to Unreal 4 Engine).

I think it's for Kingdom Hearts 3 this time(hopefully but I doubt it), because 2.8 is practically done to be released for January next year.

Yeah, Goofy's voice actor did say that, but really, even he was confused because in reality that voice recording was for the new scenes in Re:Coded for the 2.5 remaster.

Even Quinton Flynn(the voice of Axel, Lea and Reno) wants to know when the recording for KH3 is going to get underway.

While Nomura silently confirmed that next year's Kingdom Hearts news is not Kingdom Hearts 3 news. He's just showing us these beautiful images of Mount Olympus and Sora's Drive Forms just to trick us into thinking we're getting an release date next year for 2018 at least.

But since rumors are driving about PS5 coming in that year and we're getting Kingdom Hearts 1, 2, Chain of Memories, Birth By Sleep, 358/2 Days and Coded all over again for PS4 next year in March, that's not happening since FFVII Remake is now his primary sole goal and once again leaving Kingdom Hearts 3 even more delayed.

He is the most disorganized and stupid minded developer I've ever heard of.

I've waited for Kingdom Hearts 3 since Kingdom Hearts 2 ten years ago.

And I am sick and tired of the previous Kingdom Hearts games getting remastered for up-ported consoles which forces Kingdom Hearts 3 to be ported up to another next console all over again.

When Nomura said we'll be getting more Kingdom Hearts 3 news in Winter and after 2.8....HE LIED!!! AGAIN! That was just to cover up the eventual truth of re-Re-releasing the previous games all over again.

He did not lie, 2.8 releases on January 2017, winter goes from December up to the first day of March. We can get news during that timeframe.

Nomura is not stopping anything, Kingdom Hearts has someone else overseeing KHIII and he´s name is Tai Yasue, Nomura lack of focus shouldn´t be a problem in the development.
