Least favourite Final Fantasy character(s)

I got the idea from Kunoichi's "favourite character" topic so I figured, I may aswell make one about the characters you love to hate instead.

So to start off, my least favourites were Tidus and his obnoxious whinyness, Rinoa and her obnoxious whinyness and Garnet because she was wayyyy too snobby for the most part of FFIX.

I found Wakka to be really annoying at first, for being so racist

Same with Vincent. I didn't find him interesting at all at first. I thought his personality matched with a carboard box. I like him alot better now, even though I still think the size of his fanbase is a little undeserved

LeBlanc were pretty lame characters also. They were somewhat of a comic relief, but they still sorta failed IMO.

Edward the spoony bard was kinda annoying to. But without him, we wouldn't have the "spoony bard" line, so that redeems him

Must be the only character in all of the Final Fantasy games to really annoy me. She just spoilt it. Can't really remember if I didn't like any others as much but she holds top spot.

Yeah, I just had to quote you on that because we always get into arguments about your hate for Tidus. xDD He was NOT whiny! XDDD

I absolutely hated Quina because it was one of the worst fighters in FF9, I hated Barret because he pissed me off with his terrible way of attacking and I'm starting to dislike Tellah in FF4 as he always dies because he has bad health, he takes away 4HP because his strength goes down when I level him up and his MP is low and never goes up.

And his voice annoys me. xDDD

Quina , i was so happy when she left the party all those times in FF9 and was equally devasted to find out she somehow survived each of those times.

Im pretty cool with most FF chars to date but really quina was the only one i never liked.
Fucking bitch die.

I despised Tidus at the start of the game, but he grew on me. *Shrug.*

I didn't care much for Quina either...

I really don't care much for Crisis Core/Advent Children Aeris. She's way too angelic and/or innocent in them.

As far as characters in battle go... I HATED Fusoya in Final Fantasy IV.

Quina's gastronomical finesse is much undervalued by moast people, which is a shaem.

Cait Sith with his infernal dice moves. And Tifa to the moastest extent. She embodies everything I hate in a woman, which is a hot figure with the attitude of a mouse. She loves Cloud, she could probably so easily steal him from Aeris if she wanted but she pussies out. I just.... aklshgiwuhg... She annoys me.

And pretty much the whole cast of X-2. Yuna's personality did a whole 180, and her voice changed completely... the tone, y'know. It just sounds like she has the same depressive tone to her voice. And yeah, she's looking for Tidus but she has no hope in it anymore like she did in X. In X she had alot more emotion I thought. Rikku was alot cuter in X, and Paine I just hated all together. Leblanc was so full of herself, Brotheer was a depressing dog following Yuna around everywhere just to see her naked and everyone else just.... changed. Or wasn't very likable to start with.

I hated Yuna tbh. Dunno why. I guess it's because she was just an idiot. And I didn't like Quistis at all, which might come as a surprise. See, I liked Rinoa, and didn't like the fact Quistis was off with her most of the time because she basically took her role in Squall's life.

That, and the fact I actually depended on her limit break in battles. I shouldn't have to depend on someone I hate, but I did.

Besides bastard characters like Quina and Amarant....

Id have to say my least favorite characters were Irvine and Zidane. Truthfully Im not a huge fan of FF9, so maybe Im biased in that regard. But I despised Irvine.

Those are just out of the new FF games though. Alot of the earlier FF's I dont count besides 4 and 6 because most of the other characters werent fleshed out as much.

Yuffie was just annoying. But one of my fav characters was Tifa, second only to Cloud.

I haven't played very far into FFX, and I know it's unfair to judge without finishing the game ect. ect. but from what I did play Tidus annoyed me greatly.

Other than that, I don't really like Amarant that much (even though I generally keep him in the party lolol) but that's because he's boring, not annoying. I used to dislike Quina but s/he grew on me.

My least favorite is definitely Rinoa. She made FFVIII nearly unbearable for me.

And, I never liked Terra/Tina much, because her character just seemed- robotic. I suppose that's not her fault with her whole 'trying to discover real emotions' shpeel, though.

Tidus gets on my nerves at times... but he's not too bad. At least he provided me with some good laughs.

Finally, Ashe. Can't stand her one bit. She was a royal bit....

Throw some of the FFX-2 gang in there too. I actually liked Rikku in FFX, but she was just obnoxious in the sequel. Don't forget Brother and Shinra too...

I'm not a big fan of Tidus =/ He got on my nerves a good bit during FFX. Brother and LeBlanc from X-2 were pretty bad as well.

Oh, can't forget Vaan and Penelo. Vaan just looked...strange and neither he or Penelo had that much character development, aside from Vaan getting over Rek's death.

Can't say that i actually "dislike" any characters, but i never really cared much for Yuffie and Cait Sith.

Oh ho ho! Hrm...let's see. I can't think of any playable character I hate. As for NPCs, though...

Bugenhagen. Man, I don't like that name. And why the hell does he have to float around and die? And...his clothes suck. I lie. I love Bugenhagen.

VIII's Cid. Come on. You don't follow up Cid %$%&# Highwind with...a fat dude in a vest!!! Who somehow scores a hottie. I don't care about your pain, Headmaster Cid! Die.

I didn't like Brahne, but yer not suppsoed to be all in love with her, anyway, so maybe that doesn't count.

In X...URRRR...oh yeah! I abhor Tidus' mom. Selfish beetotch. All you dudes who hate Tidus, I present you with the one responsible for him being whiny.

As for XII, there aren't any. I like them all.

Tidus. Not so much for the fact that he whined as for the fact that he's pretty much as dumb as a rock. I tried to count how many questions he asked that I had already discerned the answer to, but lost count about halfway through the game. I think I'd gotten to about thirty.

Beyond that, Cait Sith kind of annoyed me, mostly because he was so easily replaced once we thought we were rid of him, and Wakka's fanaticism and racism got on my nerves at points (although not as much as they would've if John DiMaggio hadn't been his voice actor). Wakka's character arc was somewhat more redemptive than Tidus's, though, I felt, because Tidus never really stopped asking pointless questions.

Rosa also annoyed me, mostly because she was pretty much the walking embodiment of everything feminists hate about traditional fantasy literature. Also the fact that some versions of the story in Japan evidently have her leaving Cain for Cecil when Cecil became more powerful, though I've never been able to get a direct translation of the part of FFIV's Ultimania equivalent that contains this and I would've expected it to have been in FFIV DS. Even if that turns out to be incorrect though, she still annoys me.

Also, pretty much all FFX-2 editions of characters. There are other characters I would consider 'overrated' but not 'least favourites', but cba listing them.
