Part 9 – Into the Darkness of the Honeybee Inn
Cloud and Aerith challenge wrestlers to squat contests, and trade digestives for Sexy Cologne. And after being gifted a Member’s Card, they head over to The HoneyBee Inn, where they spy on patrons and Cloud has another psychotic episode.
Part 10 – Who's this healthy looking girl?
Armed with perfume, lingerie, a wig and a dress, Cloud and Aerith infiltrate Don Corneo’s brothel in search of Tifa. After finding her in the dungeon, Cloud, Aerith and Tifa agree to be the three women chosen for the Don’s bride.
Part 11 – Into the Sewers and Shinra’s Dirty Laundry
Under duress, Don Corneo confesses to Shinra’s plan to squash AVALANCHE and the Sector 7 slums by detonating the plate above. However, before the trio can do anything about it, the Don tricks them down a trap door into the sewers below the Wall Market. Meanwhile, in the Shinra Corp, President Shinra reveals his plan to Heidegger and Reeve, that by destroying the Sector 7 plate and reporting AVALANCHE did it, they’ll be flushed out—if they manage to survive.
Part 12 – The Fall of the Sector 7 Plate
Cloud, Aerith and Tifa escape the sewers and navigate the Train Graveyard in their haste to Sector 7. Upon arrival, AVALANCHE is holding Shinra off at the top of the Mako Reactor. Tifa warns the residents to evacuate the slums, while Aerith agrees to take Marlene to a safe place. Assured that the people are in safe hands, Cloud and Tifa ascend to the top of the Reactor, discovering a fallen Biggs, Wedge and Jessi along the way. At the top, who else is waiting for them but Reno from The Turks. After defeating Reno, Tseng flies overhead in a helicopter with Aerith as is captive, detonating the plate and forcing Cloud, Barret and Tifa to escape with failure.
Part 13 – Barret’s Sorrow and Discovering Aerith’s Past
Waking up in the Sector 6 Slums and burdened with grief, Cloud, Barret and Tifa go to Aerith’s house—where she had left Barret’s daughter, Marlene, with Elmyra. Elmyra tells the trio about Aerith’s past, how she found her at the train station, next to Aerith’s dying mother. About how Shinra and the Turks have been after her for years, requiring her blood to fulfill some sort of Prophecy. And ultimately, about how she is the sole survivor of a dying race, the Ancients.
Part 14 – Assault on Shinra HQ
Determined to rescue Aerith, Cloud, Barret and Tifa sneak around to the back of the slums and crawl a golden shiny wire of hope (and other wreckage) to the top of the plate. Arriving at the doorstep of the Shinra HQ Building, the trio storm in, fighting their way to an elevator, and taking it to the 60th floor.
Part 15 – Ascending the Shinra Tower
Unable to take the elevator further due to tighter security, Cloud, Tifa and Barret wander the Shinra Hq floors, eluding guards, scanning the library, gathering key cards, slithering through air shafts and completing a Midgar City replica. Overhearing a Shinra board meeting, they see a strange scientist named Hojo mention Aerith, and follow him back to his lab on the 67th floor.
Part 16 – Rescuing Aerith and Red XIII… only to be captured again.
Cloud reunites with Aerith, who’s being held captive by Hojo, as well as another specimen—a mysterious red lion-dog. Hojo’s plan to breed the two survivors goes awry when the group disables the container, freeing the beast that launches itself on Hojo. Although this is no ordinary animal—it talks! Introducing himself as Red XIII, and reunited with Aerith, the group splits up into two teams and rushes to escape the Shinra building. Just as they think they’re home free—the Turks corner them in the elevator and take them back to President Shinra.
Part 17 – Follow the Trail of Blood
President Shinra reveals his use for Aerith—the sole survivor of The Ancients, formally known as the Cetra, The Shinra plans on using her to find their way to The Promised Land—a land of infinite happiness and Mako Energy…. to build a new Midgar. Thrown back into containment, however briefly, the crew awakens the next morning to find that all the guards and staff have been killed. And the trail of blood leads them right back to President Shinra—who has also been impaled with a telltale sword. Outside, the president’s son, Rufus Shinra announces himself as the new President of the company.
Part 18 – Escape from Midgar on a Crazy Motorcycle
While the group descends the building, battling corporate machines along the way, Cloud stays behind to fight with Rufus Shinra himself. Unable to finish the job, Cloud and Tifa reunite with Aerith, Barret and Red XIII, and together, the group hijack a truck and a Hrdy Daytona, and escape the Shinra Building via the Midgar highway in style. Although, not without picking off a few flunkies along the way.
Part 19 – Nibelheim Flashback – The Great Sephiroth
Cloud knows who that sword belongs to—the one and only Sephiroth, a Shinra SOLDIER of unparalleled strength. And everything he’s done so far, Sephiroth somehow keeps coming into Cloud’s path. Leaving Midgar for good, the party travels to Kalm where they recuperate, and Cloud tells his tale of Nibelheim 5 years ago. Cloud used to idolize Sephiroth, the famous SOLDIER, so he joined the First Class military to become just like him. However, on a routine mission to his hometown Nibelheim to check on the Mako Reactor, things go horribly awry.
Part 20 – Nibelheim Flashback – Into Mt Nibel
Cloud continues his tale about what happened in Nibelheim 5 years go. After visiting with his mother at home, Cloud, Sephiroth and some Shinra guards are guided by Tifa into the Mako Reactor on Mt Nibel. After the rope bridge collapses, the group is forced to take the long way along the mountains, and along the way, come across a natural Mako spring brimming with raw energy.
Part 21 – The Truth Behind Sephiroth’s Origins
Upon arriving at the Mt Nibel Mako Reactor, Cloud and Sephiroth go in alone. The walls are lined with monsters in cryogenic chambers—humans altered with condensed Mako energy—another one of Hojo’s experiments. Seeing the chambers unsettles Sephiroth, and he begins to question his identity. Returning to Nibelheim, Sephiroth shut himself off in the library of the Shinra Mansion, divulging in years of records and data. There, he begins to discover the truth, or at least part of it—that Sephiroth was a part of the Jenova project, someone whom he believed to just be his mother. But Jenova was an Ancient thousands of years ago, part of the Cetra race and rediscovered by Shinra and used to create Sephiroth, a super SOLDIER. But the news of his mother’s use at the hands of a bunch of scientists and the falsehood of his birth unsettles Sephiroth, sending him into a spiral of hatred for all humans—so much so that he burns Nibelheim to the ground.
Part 22 – Ahead on Our Way
As Nibelheim burns to the ground outside, Sephiroth reunites with his experimental mother Jenova, in the Mt Nibel Mako Reactor, but Cloud won’t let him get away with it. But the result of that confrontation is hazy to Cloud. Upon leaving Kalm, the party agrees to go east, following rumours of a mysterious man in a black cape carrying a long sword.
