Guess the campaign worked, :monster:

Just think about it guys, this stunt got Louis V featured on every gaming and FF news site and social network outlet for days / weeks now. ?????, profit.

It's been mentioned in most of the popular UK newspapers as well, like The Sun and the Daily Express and stuff, I had one of my colleagues asking if I'd seen one of my 'friends' was mentioned in the paper cos she'd got a modelling job >_> and this was at least a week ago before she started having interviews in them as well haha.

I bet a virtual model is cheaper and easier to handle than the real ones, :monster:. Economics, y0

Yup, and you don't have to waste money giving them drugs to make them lose weight. You can just shave it all off at the click of a mouse.

Maybe. I've seen some of those shoopers at work, they can go very far regardless of base material, :monster:.

And off course photorealistic digital paintings, no 3d graphics / rendering etc required. Wouldn't be surprised that's what they did with Lightning, come to think of it, given there's only a handful of images (no videos... yet)

There's video, but Ryu is right, a handful of her poses and movements are mimicked from the game.

It's an odd collaboration that could only really exist because they just wanted too damnit. Which I can appreciate.

I mean it's a step up from playboy from spirits within, or the numerous Doritos and Mountain Dew ads.
That was Maxim. =P Aki wore a hot leather suit in some of the shots and a bikini in another, but she still wasn't nude.

That said, there is a picture online very similar to the bikini shot in which she is nude. It's supposedly official too in that when they animated Aki there, they made her anatomically correct, then added the bikini. As the story goes, one of the animators had the nude photo in his online portfolio, someone got access to it, and then what tends to happen on the Internet happened.

Then again, lead animator Andy Jones claimed "We never saw her naked" -- but then again, the way he phrased it seems to only mean they'd never seen her naked at least up until they were approached by Maxim.

Personally, I believe the portfolio leak story. It's just too easy to believe.

Now I'm tempted to run to a store to check magazines for Louis Vuitton ads...

Yeah but, I still wouldn't blow my money on any actual products from their line.

I did once own a fake Louis Vuitton purse, though. Many years ago.

Yeah, LV is a load of shite (she said, as if she knew anything about fashion)

It would have been awesome to see FF characters in Vivienne Westwood or Alexander McQueen though.

Practically all of them are. Even the one where she puts the bag over her shoulder is a modified victory animation IIRC.

Also, as I think I mentioned on the Podcast, the JoJo Gucci cross promotion was a lot more interesting. Plus, Jolyne Kujo.

I was browsing the March 2016 issue of In Style and there on the page I see... Lightning!

If their intent was to sell more magazines, then yes. :monster:

I'm not going to go buy the actual dress, however. :P

Unless they're targeting cosplayers, then maybe...

We're entering full meta now.

Actually nvm, AC had product placement which I'm sure helped sell that camera phone a bit back then, :monster:

Thumbed through some of the magazines at work and found these in Marie Claire and GLAMOUR.

I would love to have this images blown up into high-res posters. Not because I'm an LV fan but because I still think it's awesome that a Final Fantasy character is modeling designer fashion. Not to mention Lightning looks beautiful as hell.

If anyone's interested, the new Vogue magazine (with Adele on the cover) has this lovely spread of Lightning that's on a single page, so you don't have to rip out two separate ones if you want to collect the ad.
