Sorry I'm late to this thread, but hello!
How far did you get when you played FFVII in 1999? Did you finish the game?
I was obsessed with it when it came out. I remember completing it over and over again. Once my memory card got wiped which had hours of game time on it and '' grinding '' to which I didn't even get angry because it gave me an excuse to piss away a hundred more.
Final Fantasy 8 was good for a couple of whirls but don't remember much about it...other than having to take on Bahamut when I discovered the abandoned research place in the sea.
I didn't like ff9 at all. Although I remember people saying it was more in line with a classic feel ? I may play that one after ff7 as I don't think I gave it a fair chance.
Loved ff x Spent a good few hours on that and loved controlling the Aeons or whatever they were called.
The final fantasy with Vaan ? didn't spend too much time on that one. Got board with the general theme of it all and that is the last ff I played. I was thinking about delving into '' a realm reborn '' but haven't decided.
I switched over to games like Football manager from 05 and Resident evil 4 and pretty much forgot about Final Fantasy for all that time.
Also, I went something like 3 years without a console. I never got a ps3 until last year when they did that ps3 slim. Then I mainly played Last of Us on it. which is probably one of my all time faves. Used to play a lot of hitman.
Currently don't have a ps3 or 4.
Aso had all the usual gear when growing up, nintendo, sega mega drives etc etc.
