No they say it means romance but that the High Affection version isn't canon
I believe if you show affection to both, you still get the HA version. A few people have affirmed this.Hmm the high affection towards Tifa is the canon storyline, makes perfect sense. Especially, in light of all the evidence in the compilation and the actual game itself. I think it's undeniable even if you get high affection for Aerith for it to be a CxT outcome, cause the lifestream scene is a definitive moment for Cloud and Tifa, and pretty much cancels anything else..
Question though, as I have never gotten the Aerith high affection. If you show high affection to Tifa throughout but also are kind to Aerith leading to the date with Aerith which scene does it revert to under the highwind (Just out of curiousity-not suggesting anything here xD).
Once again they acknowledge that the feelings ARE romantic, they just do not agree that the High Affection scene is canon. The caption never mentions Aerith by name, but it's her picture, so Cloud must love her. It mentions and shows Tifa by name, but never specifies the 'feelings' so it's not romantic...
I agree, but ... I just don't think you can convince someone who's positive that they've been keeping it ambiguous for so long.
Hypocrisy doesn't matter. Double standards don't matter. What matters is that Aerith wins and Tifa loses. The hypocrisy is laughable. The HA version isn't canon, but Aerith's date is--because it's the default...? (Which is weird, because I've NEVER gotten Aerith)... The caption never mentions Aerith by name, but it's her picture, so Cloud must love her. It mentions and shows Tifa by name, but never specifies the 'feelings' so it's not romantic... Cloud and Tifa can't be a couple because they never hug/kiss/anything romantic...Okay, they had sex, but that doesn't mean they're in love...
I mean... really?!?
I can't see what's ambiguous about the Reunion Files. They speak about them rather bluntly as a couple in crisis, even calling Tifa a koibito. They only see ambiguity because they twist all those quotes.
Like Vendel, I'm puzzled why there's no soul searching. Don't they get tired of not taking any quote or scan at face value, and instead having to put their heads together to find an alternate meaning?
Can they honestly not see that they're doing that? Every single time?
I answered his post cause I couldn't resist not to
Jesus in Purgatory, anyone?Further to this, I think you can find meaning in anything if you look hard enough.
What I find difficult about the Clerith argument is the symbolic colour/fish interpretation argument, as I dont see how that makes sense really. Honestly, it seems like it was a desperate attempt to validate a perspective...I just don't see Nomura or Nojima thinking that specifically...Further to this, I think you can find meaning in anything if you look hard enough.
This has nothing to do with this subject, but I just watched Fargo and now hear your posts in that accentI fell for it. I was younger and all about the cliche tail of the mysterious girl, last of her kind, healer, connection to plants, wears pink and is uber girly, being the love the the hero and needing to be rescued. I used to eat stuff like that up for dinner.
I knew Aerith died before I first played the game. The only disappointment I remember feeling was that the game hadn't been romantic enough for my tastes. I wonder why?
Hypocrisy doesn't matter. Double standards don't matter. What matters is that Aerith wins and Tifa loses.
I somehow managed to forget about how some games have different endings, and how even so, only one is the ~true~ ending. How about FFX-2 (since it's another FF with Nomura in charge)?
Same to you. The pink text was your idea, after all.
