Still, my favourite moment was Sweetie's campfire singing.

Sweetie Belle was always my favourite CMC, but she's becoming better and better during S3!

Her singing was amazingly funny, and I loved how she was full of energy... right until the point she finished and literally FELL asleep.

Episode was good. A bit too much of fan pandering for my taste, but good nonetheless! I mean, with Sweetie Belle being Rarity's sister (both unicorns) and Apple Bloom being Applejack's sister (both earth ponies), obviously Scootaloo would need to be "related" to a pegasus. And somehow I don't think Fluttershy would be the type Scootaloo would come to like that much. And since she was always a Rainbow Dash fangirl, it MAKES sense for them to act like "sort of sisters". So in that sense I'm not complaining.

It's just that I get the feeling that this was kind of deliberately doing it for the fans. But as I say, it's a decision that makes sense from pretty much any perspective, so oh well . That said, I look forward to this week's episode.

No, I haven't heard anything about emails. Gods. I wish people wouldn't play such jokes or whatever they think they're doing. Hopefully I haven't fallen prey to something like that...

Hasbro owns My Little Pony. They would be the ones who would have control over the show and it's generalities at the very least. If that's true, it's because that's what Hasbro wants.

As for Derpy - that's sad that Hasbro wishes to get rid of her. I can see how some people who are too - in my opinion - uptight could find issue with her. Still, she was interesting! She was definitely a twist to the usual, everyday pony.

I was never a big Derpy fan, but getting rid of her is the same as hiding the problem under a blanket. I know it's a bit extreme, to compare this to a real person but, if they had a person who had some sort of issue (I'm terribly sorry, I just don't have the means to express the concept in English without sounding extremely rude!) , would they also get rid of them?

I know some people said Derpy's character was making fun of the "mentally impaired". Assuming that this was the case with her (in my mind, she's just extremely clumsy, and she's a cartoon, ffs), why would they "hide" her? In a perfect world, there can be nobody with such a "problem"? That is bs. I understand why Hasbro and even the staff would want to avoid trouble and therefore would choose to get rid of her, but those who complained in the first place went too far in my opinion.

It's such a shame either way, because she's not even appearing as a background pony. And that's sad.

Like a few fans, I kinda put Derpy down as having dyspraxia, in part because I suffer from it myself, and part because it fits (including her two voices - the derp voice we first heard was her tongue getting tied).

I'm somewhat unusual in that I attribute her eye deal to a lazy eye. IDK why, just do.

I am disappointed. I understand they have to sell toys, and I also understand that they have to make the series evolve, somehow. They wouldn't want the series to become stale by maintaining the "daily life" thing for too long (though I am fine with it, to be honest). But I fear this will be a bad decision, in the long run.

Twilight won't change? Right. I actually believe that her personality won't change. But let's be adults for a moment here. Situations DO change people to a certain extent. That means no more goofying around around Ponyville, etc.

I don't know, maybe it's just that I'm just...

Either way, not very happy, although of course I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and I'll watch to see what happens. Either way, with all the series has given to me, I'll continue to watch them. It won't be perfect, with Twilight as an alicorn princess. But nothing in this life is.

I think people are really looking at the whole twi/alicorn thing in the wrong light. Though they should have seen it coming. There were hints and leaks before the season even aired. Promotional posters showing Twilight with wings, ect.

Whether there were hints and leaks or not, does not change the OPINION I have on the matter. The only thing it could change is the shock of the news. And I'll admit I wasn't shocked when I saw the official news.

But either way, I still insist I'll "wait and see" if they convince me with what they do or not. The show will change an essential part, but it may still be very good, who knows.
