TONS of comparison images of the Vanilla & Shippuden versions of the characters. (Aside from ones like Sasuke, they seem to just be their UNS1&2 versions).

Also, and perhaps most interestingly, UNS: Generations is coming with a Tournament Mode that works both online and offline. If there's anything that this game needed to focus on it's the multiplayer aspect, and this sound just fantastic.

There've been some nice visual updates put out in the last few days:
(Lots are small, and I'm hunting for better sizes)

This one's a bit older, but Hinata, Kiba, and Shino have pictures from their Vanilla & Shippuden appearances and combat techniques in the game. (They were missing from the last group images with the other teams).

There're new screens of the Mizukage / Raikage / Tsuchikage as well as their guards Choujuro & Ao / Cee & Darui / Akatsuchi & Kurotsuchi. (Also has more images of the Kakashi Gaiden team).

There's also new shots of Naruto & Sasuke in their Awakening Modes (both Vanilla & Shippuden). It looks like Naruto's got his extending Chakra arms in his Kyubi Chakra Mode, and Susano'o is HUGE. It'll be interesting to see how controlling a more humanoid Naruto and a less human Sasuke will be, since that's a complete role reversal from their UNS2 configuration.

With this coming out at the end of Feb in Japan (end of March in NA/EU), I can only assume that we'll start to get lots more information in the upcoming weeks. I'm hoping that an official character roster will come out, along with some more story-mode-related details, especially about the new anime storylines that're being included.

Let&#8217;s focus now on the Cancel Moves that will be added to Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations. The new moves come as a major change in the series to bring the ninja fights to the next level. The basic idea behind Cancel Moves is to give players the opportunity to break a combo pattern at any time. This new gameplay feature is dedicated to the attacker and comes in handy when facing an opponent that mainly relies on counter attack.

How does it work? At any time, while you are performing a combo, press the Chakra button and the Jump button in sequence. A special effect will confirm your actual combo has been canceled, meaning that you are free to perform a new action: new combo, Jutsu, Ougi&#8230;You name it! Whatever you choose, the hit combo will keep counting from your previous combo(s), letting you achieve new hits combo record and huge damages! The Cancel Moves can also be used to get away from your opponent without waiting for your combo to end. To do that, simply make the Cancel command (Chakra Button then Jump Button) and hold the stick away from your opponent. This is especially useful when your opponent successfully did a Substitution Jutsu and you need to coming counter attack. A Cancel Move consumes roughly 1/5 of your Chakra bar (please note that this might evolve during the final tweaking of the game).

I made a request on that feedback form asking that they KEEP IN those moves from UNS2 that took a while to find. The ones where you had to tilt the controller and was different for each one.

Oh god, I REALLY hope those're still there (but that Kakashi has one that isn't just bullshit this time). Those + move cancelling to make your own combos is gonna make this crazy wicked. I'm also digging the implimentation of the Kawarimi meter.

Indeed. The move cancelling is awesome. CC2 worked very hard to make each character's combos look fluid and original. I was personally treated with visuals every time I watched any of the character combos. Problem was that anybody that knew how to substitute (read: everyone) made using these against them a detriment to your own victory.

Thus it became avoid and then sneak in chakra moves. More strategic but less visually pleasing. I am happy with these new developments.

First of all: Danzou & Sarutobi are both playable (Torune & Fu are Danzou's support characters).



And now....

HHHHNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGHH!!! Haku, Zabuza, & Yondaime's Ultimate Ninjutsus are so quick and fucking WICKED.
Also, Naruto's Kyubi Chakra Mode Yellow Flash attack, and Sasuke's Susano'o Bow & Arrow attack. Yes please.

My internet is being a bitch to load videos today so I am waiting patiently as this loads second per second.

Edit: SOOO MUCH WIN. Nidaime looks friggin' awesome and the First Hokage wipes the floor with Yamato. Minato looks even faster in this version and Young Kakashi's chakra blade mode looks like ultimate win. Having seen the trailer and now this, Zabuza and Haku look like they've been done justice and aren't the pushovers that got beat by the weakest versions of Team 7. XD
Good to see Kimimaro again, can't wait him to pit him against the second generation. I just can't wait three'ish months for this game. =O

Also X, since my internet is failing to load EVERYTHING, could you go to the English Suggestion'ish page and ask to include LOCAL MATCHES with the ability to START in Awakening mode. I understand that this isn't the case for online gameplay, balancing and all that. Locally though, it would be a grand inclusion allowing for a lot more flexibility in potential matches.
Immah do the same when I can load it. The more people who ask for it, the higher the chance of it getting in there.

I used "Samehada-Fusion Kisame vs. 6-Tails Naruto", "Susano'o Sasuke vs. 8-Tails Killer Bee", "Divine Gates Lee vs. (awakened) Haku" as examples to why full-Awakening Mode battles would be awesome.

Man, the different generation Kage's alone make this worth buying, and their fights are going to be absolutely epic. I really am loving the furious pace of the Ultimate Ninjutsu shown in this. It's not a "pause, buildup, huge strike" as much as just a non-stop furious barrage assault that plunges right back into combat.

Also, the idea of a 7 Swordsmen team of Zabuza with Kisame & Choujuro as support makes me giddy. Zabuza's Water Prison clone technique is SO BADASS.

Holy god, this is gonna be SO MUCH FUN.

Also: I missed it the first time, but Naruto's charka-arm-from-his-back-punch at 0:13 is just fantastic.

No idea if/when the NA/EU Demo is supposed to hit, but I dropped an inquiry to CC2's English Twitter, and I'll note if I hear anything back. I'm assuming by "Brawl" you're referring to UNS Generations, so yes. (There should be a rather in-depth character list around here somewhere). Essentially it's all the main characters from the very first episode, up until Naruto obtains the Kyubi Chakra Mode. Not all of them are playable, but there are 70 characters. I think that the ones who aren't playable still appear in some capacity as support characters (like the Kage's guards), though I'm not sure about Anko, the Sound 4, etc.


I'm still really curious to see how Danzo turns out, since we haven't actually seen him yet.

The Sound 4 and Anko appeared in UNS1 as support-only characters. Here's to hoping they appear in the same capacity (If only because Sakon's support move summoning jutsu was my favourite and I always had him as my support).

With just a week left until the Demo hits the Japanese PSN, we've received some more new about the demo itself! CyberConnect2 has revealed that the January 24th Japanese demo will feature Naruto fighting Sasuke, Pain, & Tobi.

Now, recall the story mode from Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations will be told from the perspective of different characters. Some of those characters who will have the story focused on them include Naruto, Sasuke, Minato, Kakashi, and, Itachi. From our understanding, Namco Bandai has revealed the demo &#8211; featuring fights of Naruto vs Sasuke, Pain, and Tobi &#8211; will be focusing a bit on Naruto&#8217;s side of the story. The story in the game will be told through cutscenes by Studio Pierrot (the animation house behind Naruto) and by fighting. CyberConnect2 has mentioned the demo will have the opening animation to Naruto&#8217;s story.

I can hardly wait!!!!!
