Awesome fact: if you've got save files for UNS1 & UNS 2 will get you 20 additional starting characters & 100,000 Ryo (not sure how they break down per game).
I played around with some characters on Random last night before getting sucked into Journey, and the combat seems really fluid. The Average CPU is a bit more capable than previous games, which is nice. I'm really liking Dash Cancelling and Combo Breaking. I'm still getting the hang of how to time everything appropriately, and there'll be a LOT of learning with all the characters. I'm really digging the new Sasuke though (he's the only new character I've got), and Guy's Ultimate Jutsu is awesome.
Overall, I'm thinking that I'll agree with
Kotaku's review, but I'll get an official opinion on that once I actually get into the Story Mode (hopefully tonight or tomorrow). Even if that's the case, Asura's Wrath will fill and hunger for my beautiful QTE Cutscene Story Mode cravings by CC2 (and with them sharing a release date in Japan, I can see a reason for them differentiating them drastically in which has what content).
