Is it just me, or does it seem like the villain's giving Goku some weird kind of bro fist?

It seems like a mix between Bastet (cat) and Anubis (jackal). That is, if they are throwing Egyptian deities in the mix.

Looks like a rabbit with the mange to me. Alright no, it did at first by yeah that's a largely feline facial structure. With those ears, a feline face makes me think "Serval." And the outfit is definitely Egypt-themed. Mummies used to show up in Dragonball now and then if I remember right, so why not?

Lord Noctis

Harbinger of Darkness

Caius Ballad
Appearantly he is called Bills, the god of destruction. The articles I've read cescribe his power as "Violating the common sense of Z"

Make of that what you will.

Exactly what a DBZ villain should spend a goodly portion of their screen time doing. Carry on, weird anthro-god guy.

True enough. Still, I kinda wish he had some minions or something so the non-Goku characters could get a chance to win some fights.

Especially Vegeta. Last guy he actually beat in a one on one was Pui Pui. And lets be honest, who is actually impressed by being able to beat Pui Pui? Aside from that dumbass Surpreme Kai I mean.

Some minions or even just lesser, only loosely connected villains would be nice. Some that have a bit more build up behind them. Pui Pui's complete annihilation at the hands of Vegeta might have been impressive if we'd known more about the guy and what he could do. Albeit still not too impressive from what we saw of him.

Gonna be honest, I wouldn't be at all surprised if an official source said that Pui Pui had a power level of Jack Shit.

Why is it called Battle of the Gods? Goku already crossed that border with the death of Kid Buu and beyond!

I am not impressed. Kid Buu was the super threat to everything, hyping this rabbit thing up to be a "super god" is laughable and will no doubt end in his humiliating death by the true champ: Goku.

After seeing the old classics and the finale, I find it hard to believe anything other than a villain from another anime/series can stop Goku. I usually envisioned Tobi
Uchiha Obito
and Dio Brando capable to combating Goku as a duo.

I mean, despite being beaten near to death or killed, Goku gets up and keeps on fighting. This new bad guy will just be another punching bag for our hero!

Agreed. And Goku will end up saving the day, as well as the planet, once again. As per usual. :monster:

They should make a SJ-Avengers like film consisting of Goku, Luffy, Naruto, Ichigo, Toriko (3 more characters) vs. Tobi and Dio Brando. That is a much better watch.

Maybe this'll be the upset where Goku loses. It could happen!

All of the summaries I have seen of the movie outright state that yes, Goku does lose aginst this guy. Badly.

Besides, Goku has lost fights before. Remember Cell, anyone? Or King Picollo? And hell, while we're at it even the thought of facing Super Buu without fusion terrified the guy.

While we're at it Goku technicly lost his first fight with Vegeta. It ended up falling to Gohan Krillin and Yajirobe to finish the job because Goku was to badly injured to do it himself.

Don't get me wrong, I like Goku. But he is not invincible.

tbh, not only DBZ but pretty much every action thing involves the hero losing first, then going through a Karate Kid / Rambo-style training session, then beating the shit out of the baddie, :monster:. It's a very predictable trope. Yet, effective.

Also, I probably should watch DBZ again. Did they ever do that remake where they cut out most of the filler?
