Power-Up punch is fine, its just that Sammi my Chesnaught already has that. I've traded Nasus' move for Aura Sphere.
Don't blame ya, I don't like having too many monsters using the same move even if its a great move. And Power-up Punch is just good, not great
Though funny enough, with a few exceptions, almost every Dark-type I own knows either Crunch, Night Slash, or Dark Pulse so I dunno.
the reason he only remains in my team so far is due to his steel typing but has no actual useful steel move.
Get used to that. Outside of using a TM or spending a Heart Scale, he ain't learning any other Steel-type moves you'd want. Metal Sound is their first and only level up Steel move, aside from Metal Claw which is one of their starter moves and thus... requires Heart Scales
They do have some exceptional level up moves after Aura Sphere though, stuff like Calm Mind at level 47 to make the Sphere hit even harder, Dragon Pulse at level 60, and of course Extreme Speed at 65.
I may have to replace him with SOMEONE who has a noteworthy movepool which is probably going to be Amizon to retain steel and get a new typing of ghost so as I can be rid of dual fighting typez.
The Honedge line is well worth raising, my own is coming along nicely as a Doublade presently. And if you take this option, you can always get Nasus out of storage later on when you have a better selection of TMs and such to work with
Argh, you're not familiar with my terminology sorry. When I mean max out a moveset within a single pokemon, I mean to get all the mon's best offensive movesets before the others come with shitty ass moves through leveling that I dont use.
Ahhhh I get what you mean now. Well, like I said above if his level up moves aren't working for you (and I can see why they wouldn't) you can always raise another monster like Amizon and come back to him later.
I'm a very offensive type player and rarely get buffs or debuff type of moves unless its Hypnosis or a move that induces paralysis, burns, freeze or sleep.
I hear ya, I too mostly teach my monsters attacks over status moves. I prefer that they have four different attacks, one for each STAB and two or three coverage moves. I've come around some to the wonders of status moves somewhat these days though. Calm Mind + Delphox = Firey Death. Curse + Ferrothorn + Gyro Ball = WILL IT BLEND?! Good times.
Metal sound is the shittiest move to ever incorporate in Nasus and I hope to find a worthy metal type move or else I will switch him out with Amizon and grind her like hell.
Metal Sound is pretty shit, yeah. Poor Lucario, in a fair world you'd have an option for Metal Burst or naturally learn Mirror Shot at least. But no, you won't be getting him any new Steel-type attacks without TM or Scale.
Ahh ffffuck, I dont know where to teach the elemental punches on Nasus. I'm torn between using Fire, Ice or Lightning. (I may use Ice since I dont have an Ice move).
Ummm... you can't? There are no move tutors in Kalos at present, and that's the only way to teach the Elemental Punches outside of Gen I, I think. Excepting things that learn them naturally of course, like Hitmonchan. None of them even show up on the list of Riolu/Lucario's egg moves. Of course, you CAN breed them with Blaze Kick (I bred Kris one with such once). They can also get Bullet Punch that way, but without Technican to power it up its pretty weak. Of course, with its ability Mega-Lucario could still get some mileage out of it when going after Rock, Ice, and Fairy-types.
Thanks for the protips, I'll see if I can get Nasus to learn a decent move before the cartridge and the DS returns to its owner for the tradez.
I'm a Gym Leader, its what I do
Duly noted. I'm surprise we get Luvdiscs now instead of Magikarp with the old rod though xD.
Yeah, it is a bit weird. But then, Luvdisc sucks way more than Magikarp. At least the King of Karp evolves into something awesome as fuck. Luvdisc stays shit forever.
Y thankz. Ferrothorn looks like it can join the Dalek Race just easily. And I named it after my favourite Dalek in Doc Who.
If we ever tag-team together, you should bring that Ferrothorn, I'll bring my Magnezone, and together we can EXTERMINATE! ...the opposing team
I call them tablets because the first bronzor I ever caught reminded me of my Wacom tablet or a touch screen tablet, thus I named it so.
Ahhhh ok, I gotcha. Yeah, admittedly Bronzor doesn't look as much like a mirror as it could have. I used to think it was a cogwheel
Only when it evolved did the difference occur. Tablet served well in Platinum, and I was so proud of him. Don't diss my tablet
Yeah, it weirded me out when it turned into a bell too. But there are stranger things in the wide world of Pokemon. And no, I won't diss your tablet. Every OTHER Bronzor and Bronzong in the world is fair game though :Awesomonster: Seriously, I've burned, bashed, and crunched too many of those things to take them overly seriously. Especially since they're outright weak to Dark now, so you don't have to play the guessing game of "Fire or Ground?"
I am afraid of raising a Metagross family mon because of the take down phase and its so fucking slow to raise them (almost all mons in the previous gen I used rare candy cheatz purely because I cba to raise them normally, this applies to my dratini form and other pseudoes), and pseudoes are hard to make them reach their greatest potential even though it is so worth it later, I do not want to go do the grueling task of raising them hard like I did in RBY and HGC before my retirement in the 90's (I remember crying and begging Dragonair to evolve before the guides came up and wondering when he will become a Dragonite. I stopped at 49 before switching him out with another mon altogether because I felt it was ridiculously hard to level Dragonair. Bear with me I was 9 that time and had very little patience). I need a mon this gen that can actually strike fear into the heart of the enemy unlike past gens where I usually just leave it to myself (dragonite) and my milotic love for duo battles. (Milotic is hard to get and I can't find any feebases to raise with love and beauty to turn her into my love so I can do my lovers combo in Kalos. :okayguy
Yeah, I see what you mean. I sometimes get fed up waiting for things to evolve too. Hell, you ever raised a Larvesta to evolution? Bleh. I'm sure you'll find the right monster for the job, one that doesn't take quite so much time and effort.
And remember, if you want I will totally breed you a good Feebas later, when Pokemon Bank is available finally. Then we just gotta find a Prism Scale so you can evolve it.
