Can the DS games on the 3DS connect with DS games on the DS Lite? Cause I still play the 4th gen on my DS lite, cause I don't want to erase my friends codes if I switched systems. ...At least, I think switching systems erases FCs on DS games.

OTL But then again, what are the chances that they still play on the DS lite anymore? Maybe I should play 4th gen games on the 3DS now. (so indecisive!)

DS games on 3DS can successfully connect to games on DSlite. Keep in mind, to do a 4th to 5th gen transfer, you need to have a 5th gen game and do a download play minigame on the Gen 5 cart. Either V1 or V2 of Gen5 can be used, and either can transfer their poke up to gen 6, but you need a physical copy of one game in each gen to perform the transfer, since download play.

Also, I have a Shiny Lucario. First damn Riolu I saw in Black 2, too. Pretty damn good IVs from what I can tell.

I spent several hours hunting for a clefairy in blue and I eventually gave up on finding a feebas in sapphire. To be fair I didn't know that it was one of several squares that it could show up in cause I lacked innernets at the time. I might've been stubbornly persistent if I'd known there was a trick to finding it.

Guys to commemorate Godzilla's return to cinema, I'm building a team on my cousin's DS for Godzilla's destructive crew. I think Tyranitar is Big G himself, a Hydreigon is King Ghidorah but I don't know who can fill the spots for Mothra, Anguirus, Gigan and Rodan. I think Aerodactyl can be Rodan, but I can't seem to think of what movepools to train it. :x and I dont know what is a big and beefy enough bug to be Mothra. Any recommendations?

None of the butterfly/moth pokemon are particularly beefy; that said, if you want a Mothra, Volcarona is by far the best of the bunch. After going through the (entire) pokedex, though, I'm coming up with nothing for Anguirus - Sandslash has the spines, but Torterra has the general body shape :'

Gigan is not tooooooo different looking from Haxorus, though.

Most folks consider Volcarona a good Mothra stand in And Nidoking is a dead ringer for Baragon.

Ah shit they ain't got no pupitars for X! Fuck it I'll just let my cousin get his ds to complete the Godzilla team later. I got my 2Ds now so been grinding like fuck! Anyone willing to help me out evolving a Kingdra and scizor?


Edit: one more thing. I got a shiny poliwrath on my cousin's x and if I breed it with a poliwhirl do I get a shiny poliwag baby? ?

Edit again: I just got 1 shieldon and 2 Anoriths for trade if any wants. Freshly resurrected from Amberette city. I'm willing to trade for a fennekin, bulbasaur and pupitar or piplup if any wants.

Breeding a shiny does not guarantee a shiny baby. I think it increases the odds a wee bitty bit but I could be wrong.

And yeah, I'll totes help hook you up with all those requests and help do your trade evos and stuff. I can get you Larvitar AND Piplup if you wanna catch some random Pokemon to add to your trade list (I already have all the fossils except the sauropods, I just don't care what I get for this stuff)

Simisage, Wartortle, Fletchinder, Braixen, Raichu, Bunnelby. All except the latter are drifting around level 27-29. The latter I'm just levelling up to evolve, I think? It's been a while since I last played.

Hey, don't knock the latter entirely. While I did boot my own Bunnelby as mons I wanted to train more came along, he was one of the best damn HM Slaves this side of Bidoof, Pick Up got me some really nice free stuff early on, and I hear tell they're pretty boss in battle too if you train 'em like you mean it. But yeah, that's shaping up to be a pretty nice team.

Secret bases are definitely coming back in Gen 3DS, and they're even better than ever. Just to highlight my favorite bit of news:

Gyms

Another feature included is the ability to set Battle Rules. This allows for you to turn your Secret Base into a small Gym with yourself as the Gym Leader. The full extent of these rules are not currently known, but they include being able to set the battle type such as Single Battle or Double Battle.

GYMS! I could set up an actual Gym somewhere in the Hoenn Countryside for people to challenge
