Yeah, that's Case of Tifa, I'd love to see it. Where Barret goes around giving drunken orders to the construction crew and Cloud goes around behind him quietly correcting the orders ;D

This would be pretty interesting. I think that Denzel was a good choice of the stories for tying in the new elements to AC. I'll hold back any judgment until I actually see some of it.

I don't think Barret was drunk during the scene where he was shouting orders at the workers. I think that's just Barret being himself. lol

Case of Denzel in CGI animation? I like the sound of that cause despite it being about Denzel it will mean the flashbacks will show more pre-meteor Midgar! ooo and getting to see the sector 7 plate fall! (I know this is too much to ask but it would be sweet if when the plate falls they show it looking down from above then pan it back to the President watching from his office just like in VII, now THAT would be awesome).

EDIT- also, jog my memory here but at some point in this story wasnt' the President making a speech on TV? Cause if so then we'd finaly get a chance to see and hear the big boss himself.

I'm not exactly sure, but it'd be neat to see...He's never been seen in CGI before...I wonder what he'd sound like. Honestly, I imagine him sounding like Hitler

You know, I can't find any mention of the president giving a speech in the official English translation. It just mentions that there was continuous news coverage of the event and that the Shinra Company declared Midgar to be safe. No mention of the president in particular.

Was it in the Japanese version at all? :/

I believe the OAV may be traditional Animation, a la Last Order, based on the 'cover' image for it in the ad.

CGI, 2D Animation, it's still more Midgar

Also I scanned through Case of Denzel, no mention of the president (I might have been thinking of his speech near the beginnning of BC) But still it says the shinra were making announcements on the TV so they could still have the President shown if they wanted to.

Hmmm, I thought when there was a scene where Denzel picks up Cloud's phone in the trailer(I think he is around Midgar ruins and his face is bruised/muddy and he's about to smash the phone) , it would be included in the movie. Was I wrong?

Don't remember Case of Denzel exactly(its been so long since I've read it), but I remember that also had a scene with Denzel with Cloud's phone.

Yeah, we see a CGI scene strait from CoD in the latest ACC trailer so unless they cover it a tiny bit in ACC and then have everything else in a seperate OVA it may be safe to say that the new OVA will be CGI as well.

Regardless I'll still take it. Especially if they use the same animators as they did for LO.

I'm just noting that it might be non CGI based on the cover. I wouldn't doubt either direction at this point, but I simply wanted to note the oddity of the cover and what that might mean.

Yeah, somehow I'm getting a feeling that this OVA may not be CGI. I mean why have the cover as the non CGI when OVA itself is total CGI? Feels like Last Order-type animation to me

I don't need subtitles as long as the sound works

Last Order wasn't originally subtitled I think, so if Episode Denzel (ED?) follows the same pattern, it probably wouldn't either. Then again, the trailers have only been mentioning removable Japanese subtitles anyway
