Very much awesomeness. Cloud and Barret look different enough from the previous teaser that I wonder if they'll release updated Play Arts Kai... that is if SE hasn't abandoned the PAK line in favor of the Bring Arts line. Jessie and Biggs also look different... I think.

If it winds up being a PS5 release, I'm 100% ok with that. I'd buy one the day it came out, especially if they offered a limited edition FFVIIR bundle.

Yeah, Jessie's face is quite a bit different from what I can see. Also Barret's chest hair

Curious about the cast, sounds like some changes got made.

It looks ... INCREDIBLE. So many fantastic details in the character designs and movements. Everything is vastly improved, and the battle system looks intriguing.

also i didn't realise that english voice at the end was meant to be sephiroth until you see him, he sounds different from what i remember him sounding like in english

It has the boss from after Don Corneo ... so up to that segment must be done (at the very least).

Also, am absolutely loving the battle particle effects ... it's all so beautiful!

Even little things like the design of the countdown timer at the top looking like it's made from nixie tubes is a REALLY nice little aesthetic attention to detail that really helps keep everything in that more grungy era of technology that really defined the original.

Some comparisons between this and the last teaser from 3yrs ago:

I think I prefer the previous facial design for Jessie, but the rest are looking great. Cloud looks much improved for sure. Interesting to see how they've updated the MPs (if of course these aren't variations we'll encounter, which would actually be a nice way to differentiate those you'll fight as you progress through Midgar).

Watching the trailer again, all the voices definitely sound different. At first watch, I thought Cloud was still Steve Burton but I was too hyped to really take anything in properly tbh :')

Jessie has some differences, but it's also clearly a gameplay model and not a cutscene one. I'd reserve full judgement for now.
