The presence of crossdressing was actually what made me play FFVII. At first my friend tried to convince me of its awesomeness by showing me cinematics and then letting me play the first segment of the game. I was unconvinced and confused by the mechanics. But when my friend told me that the main guy gets to dress up as a girl and that it's an entire (side)quest, the game suddenly sounded too crazy awesome NOT to play.

It's very nice, but it still looks a bit blurry in places, probably due to Youtube's compression.

Given that it's not from Square itself (I guess?), it's probably an interpolated version (i.e. extra frames calculated); that probably wouldn't make fast motions look any better if the original was blurry already.

60fps often feels like it's going faster but it's actually not, it's just your brain tricking you . It's the same speed as the other one, there are just twice as many frames (fakely added, but it still looks amazing).

I think if they wanted an alternative to Tifa's miniskirt they could do something like the skirt in this Kairi re-design:

I hope they keep her gloves, boots, and color scheme, though. One of the things I disliked about her AC outfit is that it was so colorless. I also wouldn't be opposed to her redesign including a sports bra or at least SOMETHING to tame her girls

I am honestly pretty concerned about them oversexing Tifa. Obviously she's a very powerful woman and has some.... assets... but I think it's fair to say that Tifa's design in the OG 100% accurately translated for the remake would look ridiculous. Most of the characters we've seen look very very similar to the originals, and the only one who doesn't, Barrett, his proportions are RIDICULOUS. They made Barrett somehow even more intimidating than he was in the OG.

I'm not too concerned, if they play their cards right. For example, if you look at more skimpy examples of hip hop fashion (which are near identical to Tifa's look), it combines the sexiness and the power aspect, with functionality, and without so much objectification, as "attitude" (ie: personality) is also communicated in the look. I'd like to see more attitude in Tifa's portrayal if anything.

I really like Kairi's design in that pic. That's a very cute outfit. I would actually really love something like that for Tifa.

They could even keep her with just a white tank top on top, but little biker shorts under the skirt would be a nice touch. Much more practical for running around the world fighting monsters.

I don't think the issue of sexualization of tifa will be down to her outfit. It'll be if they have pervy camera work. Her motion capture actor did an awesome job giving character to her movements, especially her walk. If they capture that again, I'll we happy.
