Yeah I heard that the new vid was supposed to take place after DoC. Would be kind of cool.

Personally I think it would be cute to see something done about the story that Nojima wrote that set the whole AC thing in motion, you know, the one about how Cloud got a letter from some kids and he had to go around trying to figure out who wrote it and in the end it was supposed to be like Tifa or something?

I agree, that would be great. But there would still be many people complaining about the movie "missing action"

If SE decided to make a movie about Genesis... could it then possibly be that short? Not much time to tell a good story, just some fragment, like LO. :-\

I got the impression that the new OVA was supposed to be an epilogue of sorts. Probably will lead into the next (and final) compilation installment.

I wouldn't mind seeing that original AC prototype 2D animated. It sounds like it's be pretty simple and not graphically demanding.

With DC's Secret Ending I also got the impression that Genesis is going to recieve his own game(or even a movie).

Your idea about the short movie being the prologue of sorts to the new game/movie starring Genesis seems most reasonable to me.

When I first heard a rumor about this OVA, I also thought it was going to be some sort of a small prologue to the next game in the Compilation.

I figured it was something like that since it's after DoC and with Genesis out back rockin' in the world...

After thinking about it some, I think it could be a prologue to the next game with Genesis/Compilation, OR it could tell how Genesis was brought to Deepground, refused and show why he sealed himself away.

But true when you think about it. Cloud was just a little grunt, and Genesis, although a thorn in Shinra's side as well as Zack's advirsary, was never a huge blip on Cloud's radar. For him it's all about Sephiroth, who is now dead. Then there's also the fact that the last time Genesis saw Cloud he was a vegetable. Imagine his surprise when he learns that vegetable was the dude who killed Sephiroth.

Quick question. I remember someone posting about there being new "Case of" stories going to be included with Advent Children Complete. Has there been any new news of that? I havent seen anything else.

They're not included with ACC, but will be release at the same time as a proper book.

So far we know it's going to have Denzel and Tifa, Barret for the first time in Japan, Yuffie, Red XIII and the Turks. There should be more as well.

I don't think so, I think the announcement of its release was the last they've said about it.

If it's the same as a standard Japanese novel, it'll be around 400-600 yen. But other Square Enix game novels have been 700-1000 yen.

Dunno if this has been posted elsewhere ... 1UP seems to think it'll be a hand-drawn short.

First off, FFVII Advent Children has been completely reedited for the Complete version and actually contains over 30 minutes of new footage. It will also feature an all-new hand drawn anime short. As mentioned earlier, the Blu-ray hits April 16 and will cost 4,900 yen (about $54 USD) without the Final Fantasy XIII demo; with the demo it's 5,900 yen ($65 USD). (Considering the demo is said to last about two hours, that's not such a bad deal).

I'm not adverse to hand-drawn. I hope it's done in the same style as LO and the BC trailers. That styles seems to suit FFVII very nicely.

And any idea if the new novela collection will be translated into English and released outside of Japan? I'd really like to read them.

It's twenty-five minutes longer, but there's gonna be new footage that replaces some of the old one, so if you turn it that way, it makes sense.

Eh, kinda ghetto to include retooled scenes in a count towards NEW scenes, but ok.

I think it's rather dumb to include new scenes too, and its not hard to believe they just went over 5 minutes with the new stuff. It's not like they said "WE WILL ONLY DO 25 MINUTES OF NEW SCENES. NO MORE NO LESS. EVER." XD
