Im gonna be really mean here.

If anyone wants to try for a role, please audition soon, because im just gonna give the roles away otherwise. Im on the verge of casting Nanaki and Cid. So if i dont have anymore auditions by tuesday, she roles are gone.

Im gonna start cracking the whip with this project, because the end of february is coming and thats when I plan on putting this all together. That means all lines should be in by then, never mind auditions.

If people are dragging their feet after saying they'll audition, it doesn't really give a good impression.

At the moment, just the novellas. Pix, I should be dubbing CoY and CoD tomorrow evening if all goes according to plan. What's the status on Red and ShinRa?

Just going through Shinra atm. The tenses are all over the place, changing words here and there, like friends to allies. Nanaki is pretty much done.

Btw, I just cast the role of Nanaki. And hopefully i'll be able to cast Cid in the next few days. Just waiting on someone.

And yeah, just the novellas. This is really hard work, especially finding the right voices and getting onboard. It should be easier once I get this trailer out. Im still waiting for my 3 main female cast to turn in lines. "rolls eyes*Women

Thats to bad. Don't get me wrong, what you're doing is downright awesome. I was just thinking how cool Crisis Core would be in audio book form, or Advent Children Complete.

Either way, I eagerly look forward to the finished product.

So, readings are done and being uploaded now. I think CoY is fine, despite my roommate dicking about with guitar halfway through. I couldn't hear anything in the recording, anyways. If its there and not isolatable, just let me know so I can re-record.

I think there is a bit. I havent tried editting anything out yet. I just got adobe audition and some awesome headphones. Audacity was ok, but audition does a much better job cleaning up bg noise. Before, there was a wierd reverb left under your voice after noise cancellation. Audition sorted that out

RARGH COMING IN SOOO LATE BUT MY LIFE ONLY JUST TOLD ME I HAVE FREE TIME NOW.

If there are slots for either Shera or Yuffie, I could try for either; my range goes from growly grouchy PMS-ing woman to high-pitched and irritating teenage girl, so I think I could pull off Shera's more adult voice even though I'm teenaged. Yuffie would be easy as she's got so much life in her.
I've got a sturdy microphone and a good recording program on my computer as Dad's an audio freak and will not allow for any sort of crappy sound files in the house. XD

If the slots are still "open," I'll record lines and have it sent ASAP! If I'm not mistaken, Shera's got most of her lines in CoB, right?
If ever any other female roles crop up, I'd be happy to give 'em a whirl, too - I'm officially on reserves for this project because I think it's so awesome.

Actually, both of those roles are gone. You could try for Jessie, if you'd like. I think the VA for her has gone walkies.

"Yes, Biggs too! All three of us arrived here together but lost sight of each other... Yes, until just a moment ago, I couldn't remember anything. Until I met you, Aerith."


I think i have some little 1 liners too if you'd like to do those.

Well, i dunno really. Jessie is in her early twenties, tech girl. Whatever you think would suit the lines. Denzel's mother is mid 30s, ... motherly. Again, whatever you think would work.

btw here are the first 3 minutes of Maiden. Enjoy

The music is just temporary. Im gonna remake that with just the choral elements. Just figure i'd stick something in there.

Also, the first few minutes sound awesome! I'm not sure whether I'd like a choral version of the BG music more than what you've got there - guess we'll need something to compare and contrast against?
Aerith's voice sounds AMAAAAZING. <3 The echo is great without being too distracting. IMO the narrative needs to be a bit slower in some places; you need to work to keep up with it and that shouldn't be the point of listening to these.

I should have Nanaki done by the morning. My eyes are stinging from tiredness right now, so im finding it hard to concentrate on the text. There was a wierd paragraph that i changed to make sense to me.

"Before long he arrived at a crag. It was the spot he would always stop to look back whenever he left the village. After he left there, the village would still be in sight. Just like those times he looked back up&#8212;but he couldn&#8217;t see it. A giant boulder that he was sure wasn&#8217;t there before blocked his view. "

Before, it said that the village would usually be out of sight, but when he looked back this time, he couldnt see it... that doesnt make sense.

It took about half an hour to get my head around it

And dont worry about the speed. I can change the tempo easily. It would probably make it about 1 hour 30 after all of the voices are added
