So Tracer is the gay one, at least they finally revealed it instead of wringing it out further. Ever since they state one of the heroes would be gay, there has been non-stop speculation. Since she hasn't shown to have any interest in men, I am going to say she is lesbian until they say otherwise.
Also the fact she has a girlfriend will torpedo the Windotracer ship from orbit. Not to mention Windowmaker has hints that she has memories of her old life due to visiting her deceased husband's grave.

I wish the game had any story to speak of so I could actually give a shit about any of these characters.

I, for one, am exceptionally glad that the story exists completely apart from the game. The game itself is fun and mechanically solid, but absolutely does not lend itself to a mechanism for telling the story of those characters. The game is literally just a sandbox within the world that they designed for them that has no bearing on the story whatsoever and that's a huge benefit.
Additionally, I've ALWAYS been one who's happy to turn to outside media to get story content, and Blizzard's always utilized it really well - especially in the case of Overwatch. Plus, the bits of story that we DO get in-game are all in the form of character interaction or settings that let you understand the story from the PoV of those characters. Just because it's not told in a linear fed-to-you-through-a-game's-narrative way doesn't make it any less meaningful, imo.

I don't really mean use the multiplayer to tell a story. I just wish there was a campaign/campaigns.
I'm fine with going outside the game for more story (hello, TLS), but the game has to actually interest me in the characters first.

It's more so that the trailers pre-release advertised a game revolved around a story, and yet there isn't much of it in the game.
Blizzard has been doing excellent with the other animated shorts and comics. I although something that I wish they would've went through with was the graphic novel First Strike. We literally got to November and Blizzard was like, "haha nah that's canceled."
Which in itself is fine, but they waited until it was suppose to be released to tell us it wasn't happening. I find myself asking the question of what happened and what are they going to do with the assets made for that graphic novel because it was never clarified internally when it was canceled meaning they could've been somewhat near finished. Also they didn't release anything to replace that graphic novel either (unless it was the Sombra short which I don't see how).
Basically Blizzard is giving us the story very very slowly. That is my main problem with it. We have very little of it, and we infrequently get more of it.

Overwatch's development model matches incredibly closely with your modern day MOBA. Regular balance patches/New characters released one at a time/new maps and game modes added/seasonal events. As such I wouldn't expect any kind of story.
In-game character interactions is par for the course for a typical moba. You get dialogue and hints toward the backgrounds of characters, their relationships with each other and lore of the greater world. You will rarely get more than that. If you do it's some kind of event (what Overwatch would make a brawl) that is somewhat linked to lore events.
Honestly I'm happy with what we've got and only ask for continued development support and new charactersand Terry Crews

I need to git gud at playing a damage character - as it stands, I'm only not really shitty with Roadhog, Mercy, sometimes Hanzo, and apparently Lucio.

Been playing on my PC a bit more, I got the Reaper, and Mei skin. The free loot boxes from arcade are great.
Between Xbox and PC I'm like level 80... so still a scrub.
