I suck at shooters so my rank is pathetic, haha. My season high is 1670, but after an absolutely dismal session on Monday night I think I'm like 14-something.

I tried Competitive on PC once or twice, those guys are 2hardcore4me :monster:. As in, you and your mum get insulted if you don't do things As They Are Supposed To Be Done.

I guess that's a benefit for consoles, nobody arses themselves with typing messages :monster:

Now I need to reach level 25 so I can play ranked.

Can I just say how simultaneously hilarious and frustrating it is to play with and against brand new players. Three times now I've dashed to the objective and captured it on attack first thing, while every other player is fighting at the entrance. :wacky:

When I dropped my ranking a lot into 1900-range, I had to teach a group how to push a Payload, because two of them were off randomly killing people & yelling for healing, so I said, "Group up with me" and dropped a Transcendence on the payload, and after that, they stayed next to it the whole way.

Looking forward to you being on PS4 with the rest of us!~

3v3 is a fucking BLAST, btw. So if you guys ever wanna do non-Comp. stuff, that's been my favourite new thing.

Also, Soldier 76 hits like a fucking TRUCK now. It's the only big difference that I've noticed with a specific character. I'm also a big fan of the slower Ult charge & how it improves the flow of the game overall.

I dunno. I don't play comp so I don't know how it goes, but most healers can't just rush the objective. You need a decent pick or two before pushing a choke, otherwise your team is doing all the fighting with the disadvantage of one fighter not doing any attacking. The only thing I can think of where the team can just zerg rush the objective is if a lucio speedboosts you to it.

That said, it's a whole other thing not pushing at all. People will just sit there, trading kills and wasting ults on non pushes, then at the end go "oh fuck I gotta go" but by then all of the enemy team has their ults.

Not interested in competitive. I'm casual scum and also I'm really terrible at the game. Quickplay already has too many assholes, whining and bitching about their team, I genuinely want to stop healing people who speak trash about their teammates. Today this jackass was just talking shit about not pushing, he was reinhart just standing there letting junkrat eat his barrier a thousand times over when all his dps were flankers and protecting nothing. Lots of reinharts are just assholes. If you want to win, go competitive.

I just have a lot of bad feelings towards people who just trash talk everyone for a match they won't even remember in a day or two. I mean, I get frustrated too, but I'm not taking it out on anyone,

So more of a Lore update.

The graphic novel First Strike was canceled.

Hey everyone,

I wanted to let you know that we have decided to cancel the release of the Overwatch: First Strike graphic novel. While we are grateful to the team for the fantastic work they put into it, we’ve ultimately decided to take the story in a different direction.

The original idea for the graphic novel dates back to the early days of the game’s development and came from our desire to tell the story of the founding of Overwatch during the Omnic Crisis. In the years since First Strike’s conception, we have done a lot of development on the universe and its stories. While the core of this story remains, we have changed and expanded upon how we see the events that took place during the first days of Overwatch.

So for now the early adventures of Gabriel Reyes, Jack Morrison, Ana Amari, Reinhardt Wilhelm, Torbjörn Lindholm (and more!) wait for another day. But we know that this is a story that you are excited about, and it’s one we still plan to tell.

I’d like to thank everyone for the enthusiasm, passion, and support you’ve shown towards the Overwatch universe. We have a number of stories in development that will delve deeper into the world and its heroes, and we can’t wait to share them with you in the coming months.

Did some Quick Play again today for the first time since Competitive went live (playing with one of my buddies' friends who was Level 13 to get him into things), and since I got up to Platinum Rank in Comp earlier this weekend, I got motivated to actively go for Rapid Discord again since I hit my Competitive milestone. I got super aggressive as much as possible and on my last game of the night (because it was 2 am and I work in the morning) we played a Competitive Match in Nepal (the perfect map for a Zenyatta milestone) and in the final match, I finally got Rapid Discord (which is still Overwatch's rarest non-Platinum Trophy 0.5%). Fuck yeah. Perfect day. So damn stoked.





The perfect storm needed for this trophy is still totally nuts and mega circumstantial, but I'm so pleased I finally managed it and topped off a perfectly lazy and relaxing weekend.

Maybe now I'll play some other characters. :awesomonster:

I've learnt I can actually play Zarya on console. Something about shooting with mouse and keyboard made it so difficult for me to keep the plasma stream on people.

Got Marcus a quintuple kill a few nights ago with a black hole into DVA self destruct combo. He was giddy. :monster:
