Playstation 5

Turns out there's a company that's already going to be producing third party faceplates for PS5.

I have to wonder how they have the molds ready - and on top of that, how did they do testing? It's a great idea either way, though I am suspicious of how a company could get this running so quickly. Especially because all of the pictures are just 3D renders.
That looks like a pretty swish website, clearly they pounced on that the second things were announced.

As for the faceplates, maybe Sony released specifications for them at some point. Alternatively, maybe the plates or specifications were leaked by a factory worker, handler, or anyone else with access - there's tens of thousands of them, probably. Finally, maybe they're just taking pre-orders now; spinning up production can happen really fast if need be.

However, something to keep in mind not all this listed games might be available:

DualSense pics:

This controller absolutely lives up to the hype - the textures on it are varied and tactile and make the controller have a good grip in the hands. The materials are unparalleled, and the ergonomics make it probably the best controller I’ve held.

And since the PSP is my favorite era of Sony design aesthetic, I absolutely adore the transparent directional buttons (and now the transparent face buttons is even more slick)

Though the obvious caveat being that I haven’t experienced the full capabilities of the controller, of course.

PlayStation has announced that launch-day sales will be ONLINE-ONLY.

Sid Shuman said:
Hi all – the launch of the PlayStation 5 console on November 12 (or November 19, depending on your region) is almost upon us! In the interest of keeping our gamers, retailers, and staff safe amidst COVID-19, today we are confirming that all day-of launch sales will be conducted through the online stores of our retail partners.

No units will be available in-store for purchase on launch day (November 12 or November 19, depending on your region) – please don’t plan on camping out or lining up at your local retailer on launch day in hopes of finding a PS5 console for purchase. Be safe, stay home, and place your order online.

Gamers who have pre-ordered for pick-up at their local retailer should still be able to do so at their designated appointment time, under the retailer’s safety protocols. Please confirm the details with your local retailer.

A special thank you to our entire community for your continued support this year. Here’s to the next generation of gaming!
