Pokemon Online

Ok, I know this isn't really about the online game, but kinda cba to go hunting for another Pokemon thread...I'm playing FireRed, and I need to level up a LOT before I'm ready to face the Elite Four. I've read on bulbapedia that when you use the VS Seeker, the trainer's pokemon are supposed to level up every time you fight them, or at least certain trainers, but I have yet to find any that do this. So I'm having a really hard time finding good ways to level up, and this is taking me forever. Any suggestions?

It should be noted that after using the Vs. Seeker, some Trainers may have higher-leveled Pokémon than the last battle, and their Pokémon may even have evolved.

That's the key word right there. Just keep trying all over the place and you'll see it happen eventually.

Carrying on the tradition of posting general pokemon stuff in this thread, I thought I'd update you all with the pokemon from my first Black 2 playthrough:

The Mayor - A level 16 Snivy
Felix - A level 14 Purrloin
Sir Norris - A level 17 Growlithe
Beef - A level 18 Azurill

If you have a Pokemon with the Compound Eyes ability (Butterfree is one), you can go to the Safari Zone and try to catch a Chansey that's holding a Lucky Egg. This might take a while, but you'll get 1.5x exp and grinding on Victory Road will be a little bit easier.
