I'm cool with everything you said man, especially after being through these situations several times. Having doubt is perfectly natural. But this thing about creating a new section is ridiculous. Just sayin'.

Put yourself in my shoes for a moment. Is it REALLY that ridiculous that I would think that?

And I'm going to be honest, I have personally seen a lot of what you flks get up to in there. The Tiff vs. Misty/Kobato (nicer than your name for it, lol) is one such example of why people got so bent out of shape over everything. And I've either seen or heard about a lot of the things you all have had to say about me at one time or another, too. I'm not going to gointo any further detail, ofc, but one thing my thoughts here are NOT is ridiculous.

I just don't know how you could think we'd create a new section tho. I don't know how you would even think I'd be apart of something like that. Maybe I've fallen out of favor with you or some other members here. But, if there were anything like that going on, I'd be calling staff out on it. That's something I'd fucking leak and make public. Most of the problems here stem from misunderstandings and a lack of communication. Perhaps I'm just reading your posts wrong, but there seems to be this feeling that we think we're actually elitist bastards. Which isn't the case at all. I mean, pretty much all of what's been said in there has been in an effort to make things fair. And, things get distorted because of the misunderstandings, communication issues, and maybe a little laziness, which needs to be worked on. But, I'm probably just reading things the wrong way. Dunno.

And its more a deeply rooted mistrust in staff. I dont care if you are elitist bastards or not - if I feel i can trust you - as a whole - then i could care less.

But as it stands, I can't. I really...just can't. I hate to say 'prove me wrong', because that's not fair to you, but my willingness to give staff the benefit of the doubt is gone and I'm stretched to my breaking point.

I'm sorry I got so upset yesterday about the way Aaron worded his feelings. Things have just been emotional for me lately and there's all this stuff about staff now and I just didn't handle it the way I prefer to handle things.

He and I have been talking privately to sort out our issues. I don't want anyone to think that he still is against me possibly being on staff and that they need to defend me to him.

I have no problem with any member wanting to be heard or express their opinion on topics related to the forum. As far as I'm concerned more member input on forum matters leads to a better forum. But individual members and their drama =/= the forum. The only reason this turned into a forum-wide issue is because everyone dogpiled onto a topic they really didn't have any business in.

Part of the problem was that also the initial thread was a thread about the feedback forum section, which was obviously open for everyone to read, comment on and state their feelings.

And then it slowly went off on a tangent about mistrust of staff, and then at some point (I think it was Zee? not that it matters anymore) asked about a very specific example in the context of the relevant thread topic at the time.

Then that example became the centrepiece of the thread and the original topic became completely ignored with no indication as to when the original posters (not involved in this specific example of mistrust) should have left.
imo if we'd split it off when it was getting specific about Rishi's issues with Ryu and the moderators, all this extemporaneous debate wouldn't have happened, but now I'm just speculating with hindsight and that's not really the point. My point is that people got involved because the thread went off topic very subtly over a long period of time before Anakin turned to the dark side from Palpatine's influence wat

My post was meant to be a comment on 'people really need to look behind the avatar and user name' using the specific case being debated as an example. Cuz I sorta thought it was all a misunderstanding, since Ryu isn't a creep and it felt wrong for that to be the current understanding.

Then it turned out to be about a lot more than that, and really I had no idea. It just makes me feel alienated.

So yeah had I known then what I know now, I would have been less likely to join in with my 2 cents.

I know this whole thing has been confusing enough to put some members off when it comes to seeing themselves as a part of the community. Some of us needs a break. Someone who is awesome told me they need a longer break, which in that particular case in my opinion is a loss to the community.

This is not blaming anyone for anything - it just is what it is.

Well I'm upping my activity because my job ain't so bad now and this place ain't either. I rather liked the convo and I had three admins telling me to come back. xD Srsly though guys, I really hope we have more convos like that. People talking in real time makes us all a bit more honest and open, dontcah think?

There's also the issue of member privacy.

This is the main reason behind the privacy of the staff section, imho; one, because people could get - and will - get defensive if they feel they or their friends are being treated unfairly (see past few days), and two to protect people's privacy to some degree; we've had cases of fucked up behavior in the past, and in some cases we need to sift through people's PMs and post them in those discussion threads.
