Tetsuya Nomura probably said:We're almost finished with the Sector 1 Reactor now
Episode Train Station Dude
I can't wait to see what comes out of the full interview. Hopefully we get some sense of how things are going since it's been so silent until now.

Plus how Nomura is able to work with the different Square Enix Business Divisions for KH3 and FFVII Remake.Although there are parts [of Final Fantasy VII Remake] further along than Kingdom Hearts III, such as cutscenes, it is unlikely we’ll share information for a while as we switch from mainly external to mainly internal development.

Translation summaries of a interview Nomura just did with Famitsu. But from the sounds of things, I'm guessing if were very lucky the Tokyo Game Show might have some FFVII Remake update/info, but if not it's liable we're gonna have to wait until the PlayStation Experience in December for a major update.
From the sound of things, we'll be lucky to get anything this year. It sounds an awful bit like they are redoing every single asset that CC2 was involved in. Otherwise they wouldn't be so cagey.

I don't really think there is anything indicating that they are having to redo all the assets that CC2 was involved in, if anything the fact that they have so many cutscenes done, sounds like more evidence they are retaining everything. The current slowed development seems more due to the restructuring/reorganization switching to full internal development caused than anything else.
When there is, in effect, a media blackout for such a massive game, including what exactly was the relationship and cut-off of CC2, I just can't believe that to be the case.

I had hoped that the reason they took down G-bike was because they intended to dissect the source code and integrate it directly into the remake. Now it looks very unlikely.
