No, but seriously. I know they're trying to do their own thing with the Resident Evil franchise, and thats great for them. But it plays like a bad fan fiction, Alice being the ultimate Mary Sue Jesus and bending the minds of the canon characters to be in love with her or in awe of her, and eventually making her THE ONLY ONE who can save the day.
This is the kind of plot that you find on fanfiction.net. It's crazy that it got turned into an actual movie series and beyond ridiculous that the movie series has managed to outpace the 'so bad that it's good' branding into just being 'so bad...that it makes me want to cry'.

I really liked the first film tbh, and the second even though it was silly.
The first one had this great B-movie, low-budget, ZOMBIE atmosphere. Even though it was a bit silly it was still a pretty cool little movie.
By the time the third one rolled around, the silliness had taken over and left no survivors in its wake.

I actually liked the first movie, I thought they kept the basic spirit of RE, and if nothing else it was a fun watch. By two I was going "huh?" but I didn't hate it, even if I was annoyed by the uncoming Mary-Sue-ness.

Sometimes I can't believe they want Alice to be taken seriously. Her using kung fu on zombies was the funniest shit I've ever seen. Only MERE MORTALS use guns.
I wish they had just done the one movie and left it alone. But they also could have (SHOULD HAVE) just killed off Alice in the first movie.

It ould have been a much cooler twist if Alice was the one that got slashed and ended up becoming Nemesis in film two. Leaving Mr. Joe Average as the only survivor.
Or they could have just shot him and made into one of those films where all the characters die. Either one of those would have been a much better twist ending than the one we ended up getting. Regardless of that and a host of other imperfections I do still enjoy the first and second movies.
Plus Sienna Guillroy in number two is well fit.

LOL @ Alice beating up on the Nemesis zipper suit.
I hated how obviously fake Nemesis looked. The fucking Licker from the first movie looked more threatening and horrorific, than the ultimate B.O.W. Tyrant Umbrella produced? Really?
