Jesus Christ, now I'm starting to feel like I'm just imagining things... He said "Not once he was thrown into the Mako reactor by Cloud". "Not once" meaning it didn't happen, which led me to think he said that didn't happen, when we all know it did.

Even before he goes apeshit he doesn't exactly seem normal. He's fairly awkward at interacting with people in a way that doesn't unsettle them and I don't really see anything that indicates any form of interest in other people romantically/sexually. Then again, haven't played CC, but

No, actually I just read into it too much without even really thinking about it, if that makes sense. After going back over it, I realize what he was actually saying.

I've been thinking way too hard for my finals for college, tbh... So I promise you I'm not really that incompetent, lol. I simply mis-read it is all.

Aside from the reducto ad absurdum, there was also a Sephiroth Fanclub, so the 'resources' were there.

Now, to play my own devil's advocate: the question is: did he seemingly have the urge? Or maybe he didn't even have the time.

I actually find it funny when people say "that's not seen" or something like that. We don't see everything, otherwise games would have an enormous amount of hours and most of them would be about stupid things like cooking dinner or worse...

A.) Not a normal human being.

and

B.) He has shown virtually no interest in other people save for his close circle of friends.

And equating Sephiroth's fucking bowel movements to dating is just downright stupid. No genius. One's a vital bodily function of waste removal that is necessary for survival, while the other is a facet of human bonding that is hardly necessary for one's continued living, and not every individual chooses to do it.

Characters that are shown dating and having interest in relationships in FFVII are shown to have said relationships and encounters. Out of all the gossip, dialogue, and information regarding Sephiroth we know that he is reclusive, uninterested in people save for his friends, and he spends most of his free time either training, reading, or being alone. That's not conducive of having romantic entanglements.

Hey, I don't think any of us as trying to prove that Sephiroth ever had any romances or ever had sex, we're just tossing it around. If I had to say, I'd say no, for the reasons you listed.

HOWEVER, if I were to play Devil's Advocate, I could present the argument that.

There are many people in real life and in fiction that have no interest at all in romantic encounters, but still have sex just to bang. Some for power, some as an extension of their arrogance (and Sephiroth had a lot of it, come on, just look at how Crisis Core says he takes care of his hair), and some simply because it's a natural urge, just like any other human emotion displayed by an antagonist; anger, fear, power, etc.

There are people out there today that have very few friends, do nothing but read, etc, but they still have sex just to get it out of their system (or because they like it, but don't like all the stuff that comes with it). Sex is a very hard thing to resist one way or the other.

Believe it or not, sexual desire (with or without any attachments) is as human and natural an emotion as wanting to take over the world, anger, pride, and so on. Sephiroth and a wealth of other fictional and real life antagonists display these. There are also plenty of fictional characters that aren't normal at all that use sex as a means for power or because they hate people but still like to screw. Orlouge from SaGa Frontier comes to mind.

No. Not everyone can fall in love or is interested in it. Furthermore, plenty of people express no interest or desire whatsoever for sex. They sublimate those feelings and desires into other hobbies and facets of their personality. Whether you want to call that "normal" or not is debatable but that's the reality of life.

And again, Sephiroth doesn't have any friends and after he lost the first two, he really didn't try too hard to make any new ones.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Sephiroth had non-committed sex for the hell of it. But I don't see him falling in love with anyone. I could see him having sex and having a fling now and then but...while possible, I just don't see him as the type to open up himself that way. It's possible and I wouldn't be that surprised but I just see it as unlikely. I honestly see him sublimating his sexual urges and frustration through fighting and violence.

Mako, I think you're misinterpreting what I'm saying here big time.

But I'm not talking about falling in love. Hell no. There are tons of people right now that don't believe in real love. I'm just talking about a sexual encounter. Bangin'. You don't need friends to have sex. You don't even have to be good with people to have sex. All you need is to be attractive, powerful, and to have a desire for it. Sephiroth has the first two in spades.

Hell, I know a few real life people with very little interest in forming friendships or any sort of connections with hardly anyone but they've had sex WAAYYYY more times than a lot of people I know. My roommate in college was a good example. Besides for me, he could count his friends on one hand. But he could write a book on his sexual experiences. Why? Because he liked bangin'. That's only one example and I'm not comparing him to Seph persay, but still.

I'm not saying Sephiroth ISN'T asexual, but if by some chance he isn't, his social awareness has little to do with sex in itself.
