It'd be kinda nice to have some lighter background options for the days I'm forced out into the sunlight to fend for myself. Black's good and all, but it's hard to read in the sunlight with most mobile devices.

There's a skin chooser at the bottom left of the page where you can change the background of the forum

^ Yeah, but the only light skin is "vBulletin default", which has its own problems. E.g. we've chosen font colours on the assumption of having a dark background, so they are hardly visible against lighter backgrounds.

I wonder if there's a quick and dirty way to just make an inverted version of the default?

Mac does have an 'invert colors' accessibility option, . I took a screenshot but it retains the original colors on there .

Hate to do this, but I won't be creating anymore content for the youtube channel (including uploading the podcast) or updating the facebook page until these are added to the banner.

I understand people are busy and all, but I need proof that this place is worth spending my time, energy and money. Social media is going to be an important tool to get our content out there over the next few years, so we need people to actually know we have a presence on there.

Pixel, while I share your frustration at the lack of progress on TLS projects, I can't help but feel there's a better way to address the problem than effectively holding us to ransom. Your title is Site Designer, couldn't you do it yourself? Are you still planning to step down soon? Perhaps you could update us on the situation.

Yes, I will be. I've been considering leaving for good, but I have 2 projects left to finish first. That will have no impact on anything whatsoever. But somebody will need to take control of social media stuff.

And I'm just the graphics guy. I dont have any web design powers.

It's probably not a surprise that I'm a master of procrastination and forgetting things. Getting to work on TLS for me is a hurdle, and I'd rather someone else do it. But, let me see what I can do with this. Just keep reminding me to do shit, it's far too easy to just go fuck it and do nothing all night.

Let me know if the position and such is correct, I just sorta chucked it where it looked all right. You can right-click, inspect element on them and fiddle with the CSS of horrors if you like.

I'd have to dive deeper into it, I know nothing of responsive design. Would it be all right to just move the search bar below the banner?

I also think the search bar's color should be changed to fit closer to the rest of the theme. @Pixel, could you make a TLS colored RSS feed icon too? Might be an idea to chuck it in the list of social icons, too.

Ah. I see now it's the container for the search form that's overlaying the icons. If you moved the search bar up a bit (or something) and fiddle with the height of the form container, the icons will be clickable.

Oh wait, I see it now.
Typically, look for

@media (max-width: 650px)
#branding #searchform {
    top: 1.625em !important;
...

Change the 1.625em to 1em and add 'height: 2.5em;'. That should take care of it.

Edit: The search bar was below the banner originally, but I added the 'top' on request.
