The general explanation for that is 'A couple going through a rough time'. Which is pretty reasonable, I mean I've known my girlfriend for years, and there have been times where we've acted really funny towards each other. They're rare, but it happens.
And to be fair we don't see them interact in DoC I give them the benefit of the doubt there.

Not to mention Cloud's spent most of his teenage years in a fucking tube as a vegetable with no real human interaction.
And then when he did get out he had no real mind of his own and had to copy the persona and memories of another individual.
He literally went from 16 to 20. No dating, no school, no experience, no human interaction. He went from a young 16 year old to now having to save the world and deal with a whole 4 years of missing time and lack of memories.
He's very stunted. It's only been 3 years that he's actually BEEN himself since 16 years old.
And then when he did get out he had no real mind of his own and had to copy the persona and memories of another individual.

Yeah, a lot of people seem to forget that.
Cloud's got a gaping hole in his life experience, and it just so happens that hole is in the place where most people transition from child to adult. Not only is it gone, but it's been heavily twisted and warped. All the things most young adults and adults take for granted he's never had. No real lasting friendships, no past relationships, no real transition into adulthood.
One minute he's trying to make a name for himself in the military but failing. The next he's near death. Then suddenly he wakes up to seeing his best friend dead and he loses it and becomes a mind controlled puppet.
And then he finally comes back as himself in the midst of saving the world. Four years and a few months later. And he still doesn't fully remember everything.
Cloud's not normal. Not by a long shot. He has a very long way to go to be anything close to normal. Him having a meaningful relationship is not easy.

That too. I'd say Cloud has some major issues not just with trust, but with living . I mean AC only touched the surface of it really.
I mean, one thing that the Compilation needs to show us, is how Cloud moves on and adjusts to his life. He's made the first step by putting Sephiroth behind him and returning home with Tifa and facing it with her. So now we need to see how it happens.

I say an OVA must be in order. A Slice of life story for them you know? Not that kind where they have to fight here and there. I mean some simple piece about Cloudy's life with Tifa. Hell if the fans want a little fight here and there, they can have it for sure.

Please. All they wanted was a normal life, well 2-3 episodes wouldn't hurt to see them living normally and 3 more for battle purposes with the last one having Cloud confess and cough up the goods. And please. No Sephiroth. No. No more.

See that's why I hate him since FFX, he's got good characters and stories, but doesn't have balls to give the people a proper closure to his works. If he does this technique everytime, people will start losing faith in his ability to tell and give a proper ending.

Really? I've searched some Crisis Core scripts on the internet, but can find nothing of the sort. Don't make me buy a PSP and the game just to find out
