Last sales weren't too impressive though; mostly indie games I don't really care about. I'd like to get some AAA titles like Fallout 4, Shadow of Mordor, etc. But not likely the former will get a big drop in price.

Also beware the scam where they raise the price beforehand so it looks like it's cheaper. Look the game up at competitors first.

I think I have pretty much every game I want on Steam at the moment. Rocket League is a tempter but I wish the price had come down a bit more.

I haven't laughed as hard at anything as I did at that gif in a long time. Can't decide if it's really that funny or if it's wine-assisted. Nah, it's really that funny. It has Aragorn saying "Holy fuck biscuits".

I'm having some real trouble accessing anything on Steam atm, because we're all so damn eager.:wacky:

Rocket League is a fun little game, but its replay value... kinda depends on how competitive you are. It is fun though. From the same company as World of Goo, which was also fun. Probably still is, its graphics are rather timeless I'd say.

Witcher 1 & 2 on sale now for... few your oh's. I want to get the 3rd, but I've got other shit to play right now and it's not exactly cheap cheap now. Although 50% off is a fair deal.

And Skyrim's on sale, again, as usual, also for less than 5. Get it if you haven't already, but I think by now everyone has it, so nvm :monster:. I'd get the expansions / DLC, but I haven't been able to play the game properly. Actually I had to struggle to get through the main quest. IDK.

Edit: Budget wise I am torn. I can either get that drool-worthy Star Wars pack, or Type-0. The reviews on Type-0 are mixed, many pointing out that the port is so broken it barely scrapes though on being functional at all. I want to play it because it looks fun, and if the fun is broken by a bad UI port... But, I wants it.:loopy:

My entire wishlist is currently at 50% off or more, and I've used up all my disposable income already buying Christmas presents for the family and friends.

First world problems.

While I'm thinking about it, one of the games is Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. Anyone here played it? I thought it looked interesting.

That is the 3D Realms Anthology. 32 games. only 10$ at the moment. They get added to your library as separate games, so if you are after the meta-achievements on Steam for collecting this is a great deal (the achieves are at 10, 100, 250, 500, and 1000).

Also worth noting that it comes with a version of Duke Nukem 3d that is in some way superior to the "Megaton Edition" that is also on Steam. As this version includes a version of e-duke 32 so adding old add-on packs is easy, and it includes "Duke Zone 2", which is not in with the "Megaton Edition".

H1Z1 is on sale right now. If anyone here was thinking of getting it to play a Zombie survival game definitely don't buy it lol.

The main Zombie survival mode of the game hasn't had a proper update in ages and is riddled with cheaters. The devs mostly just update the "Battle Royal" mode which is just a boring large arena FPS which WONT be free to play even if you bought the game once the game goes live (its Early access and will be F2P on "release")

It's a pretty terrible game :monster:

^ I've seen people have fun with the 'Battle Royal' mode on youtube.
If you can get a team of 3 or more people on mics then theres fun to be had, but it seems that's all there is to it.

Never seen any Zombies. :monster:

Thing is with Battle Royal mode is that the meta is basically

>Survive the first 2 minutes while looting as much as possible
>Hide in the corners of the fog zone with a car till everyone else dies

So unless you have a gun fight with in the first few minutes you can spend upwards of 30 minutes looking for another person to shoot at because the initial fog cut off radius is gigantic and its shrink intervals are several minutes in between one another.
So by the time the map gets small enough to push players towards one another half an hour has already passed.

Sure the first few times it can be tense and fun never knowing if another player is right around the corner or behind a tree your running past etc. But it gets stale and long winded fairly fast. At least for me it did for me. I recall before I finally gave up the game I purposely parachuted towards the high traffic landing zones to seek out gun fights win or lose just because I didn't want to spend the next 30 minutes waiting since I would rather have the gun fight > Die > Queue up again lol.
Should be noted that the same cheaters who ruined the Survival Mode also play BR a lot as well :monster:


With that said i want to note my Caveat was not to buy H1Z1 if you are looking for a Zombie Survival game as Battle Royal does not offer that in that way (there is a BR mode with zombies but it sucks). And it should really be stressed that even if you buy H1Z1 when it goes F2P Battle Royal wont be free to play and will work on a ticket/game cash system.

As far as a Survival experience goes I think Ark would be a much better purchase.
