Team Fortress 2... For years, I was looking forward to it's release. I've played Team Fortress Classic since I was a kid, man. I wanted to play that game since it was supposed to look like this;
And to this day, I've never played it. Lol. I wasn't fond of the cartoonish theme, but honestly, I might get with the program finally. Just to play on an Axl's Team Fortress server one more time.
So, I just had one of my best rounds ever at this. Was a King of the Hill map on Viaduct. I solo capped the point while dancing figure eights to avoid the sniper fire incoming from the cliff. Then, I charged in and burned that sniper alive with my trusty Backburner. Dodged some kukri swings and leapt off a cliff to grab a medkit before he could too (while also torching him mid-air). Kept the point clear for 2 minutes and 52 seconds, then broke an attempted spawn-camp (featuring an uber-charged Heavy, 2 Demos, and a Spy with the Dead Ringer) to go take it back. Good times indeed.
Today I Ubercharged 3 people at one time and the four of us managed to disrupt a engineer's nest, kill off five people and take the point all in the space of one Ubercharge. We then went on to take the second point and win the round while RED was still in Respawn. Fun times.
Y'know its weird, I've joined a couple of games you were in Obsidian and yet I've never actually seen ya. We've never killed each other that I recall or anything, have we?
^^I know I've seen you around. Your name is really easy to remember.
But I don't think we've killed each other yet. Although I'm usually playing Medic/Engie (or Heavy if people on my side are being really incompetent) so I'm usually getting assists rather then actual kills.
Hey, its sort of a tossup what kills me more: Snipers or Sentry Guns Give it time, I'm sure you'll murder me someday. But hey, we ever get on a team together for a change, I'll hang with you and Spy-check anything so much as looks at ya.
I like this plan. Spies are the bane of my existence. It's amazing how much letting buildings build themselves while I spy-check with the shotgun helps.
It's also a testament to Valve's game-balancing prowess that they can stick in a bunch of non-normal roles in an FPS and make them work, particularly the Spy, Engineer and Medic roles.
They just ran an update that fixed a handful more exploits, but there are always more somewhere Or will be as soon as they add more weapons to the game. Also hats, but hats don't cause glitches as they are perfect and flawless.
On another note, Noctis and m'self got Obsidian into the same map as us, but unfortunately on the opposite team I can no longer claim to have never killed ya, what with having burned you alive and all, but it was still good times
They should leave some glitches in. Make them kind of a reward for players smart/lucky enough to find them. If only the players that find them would just keep quiet about them.

Ha ha! Watching you deal with my mini-sentry was very entertaining. Especially as I was shooting you at the same time. With my Pyrovision goggles on.
I've also discovered that I love trolling players in Capture the Flag by sticking my sentry gun and dispenser in the same room as the Intelligence and then just waiting for them to (try to) enter the room. I've also gotten very good at noticing cloaked spies. Sticking teleport exits in the dark corners of enemy bases is a close second.
I mighta had an easier time with that sentry but every other time I got to it, it had moved And I did manage to get ya back a couple of times here and there, so I'm happy with it. Also still laughing that you were totes killin' me while seeing Pyroland.
Its odd, the world seems determined that things go smooth more often than not if we're teamed up, but should we find ourselves opposing one another things go batshit On another note, I got my hands on a Homewrecker so now I'm even better equipped to Engie-guard for ya on various maps.
So a few years ago, VALVE released the Source FilmMaker. Cue the TF2 community making a bunch of great machinimas. Here are some of the better ones. YouTube vids are under the spoilers.
Aside from having great storylines, both of these are interactive and A Granary Adventure even has multiple paths to pick from. They've also got a ton of callbacks to Nintendo games, Metal Gear Solid, and even Final Fantasy.
This would be why all Engineers hate the Spy with a passion.
The RED Engineer laughs at the BLU Engineer's misfortune... cue an escalating war that happens between the two.
Upon finding a BLU teleporter exit, the RED team decides to use it to their advantage.
If Engineers hate the Spy, Spies hate the Pyro! Many thanks to GLD for pointing this one out to me!
How VALVE comes up with their various logos with the... valve... on them.
A negotiation for the Intel goes bad... in the Wild West!
A hitman is hired to assassinate a engineer, but all is not as it seems...
A rather serious look at how TF2 would play out in real life. Exactly what type of game are we playing again?
While fighting against the robots, the TF2 teams decide to take a page out of their book. TF2 meets Transformers/Giant Mecha/Ironman.
During the zombie invasion, the team is trying to get back together, but tragedy strikes. There still might be hope though...
While this isn't a machinima, having this poem applied to the Engineer is just creepy (especially if you're read the comics)... Based on
poem/song.
And one fanfic that just needs to be mentioned: The Mumbling Abomination. It's a Pyro origin story that the author admits was inspired by H. P. Lovecraft's work.
An oldie that made me cry cause I'm a sentimental pussy. It's been remade using SFM, but I perfer the original. Not sure if that's just nostalgia or whether I prefer the more "hand held" camera work, making it seem more "real"
It's worth watching just for the music alone.
So today in Turbine, I set up a nice Rescue Ranger + Dispenser combo a ways away from my Lvl. 3 Sentry (not having to take damage when someone's aiming at my sentry is awesome btw). Cue the other team trying to take the sentry on with 2 Heavies, 1 Soldier and 1 Medic. Managed to keep healing the sentry with the Rescue Ranger until it had killed them all and was rewarded with people on the opposite team thinking I was using hacks to keep the sentry up. My team found that hilarious as most of them had watched the whole thing.
