Love Tekken, favourite beat em' up series and the original was one of the first games I played for the PS1.
@Xpelair: 3 is pretty good but honestly I think 2 is always gonna be my favourite Tekken because to me its a great prequel to what I consider to be the point where they added a proper story line to the Tekken series so I don't think saying there's no point in playing it is true.
Tekken 1 was essentially a Beat em up with a little bit of a story in it whereas Tekken 2 began the set up of a proper storyline where the Devil Gene and the background of the Mishima family came into play which then paved the way for Jin's story. Tekken 2 had some great fighters in it as well, Jun Kazama, Baek Doo San (and nobody please mention Asuka or Hwoarang in the newer games for these two because they are essentially clones moves wise) Bruce Irwin, the introduction of Lei Wulong and of course not forgetting Devil/Angel, Roger/Alex. Also if you put the right combination of buttons in while selecting characters you could make their heads bigger and their voices sound like chipmunks, that is a reason to play Tekken 2 right there alone.
Jun Kazama is in my opinion one of the best characters in Tekken 2 to use combo wise as long as you know how to combine her moveset properly, I think thats why I was so comfortable using Asuka right away in Tekken 5, her moveset is extremely similar and I was already really familiar with it from playing so long as Jun.
