So, after reading through that whole thread, there was ONE post when someone said that they'd read something somewhere about this being a miscommunication over Spider-man, not really a rights issue per se. On top of that, there's no source of where they read it, and it seems totally ridiculous to me -- especially because the post ends with:

I don't have the ability to do real searches to confirm this, so I don't have sources to cite, sorry. Heard it in a few places, though.

Can you dig up anything concrete on where this is coming from at all, or is this all just rumory internet nonsense from a single person, because it totally seems like it is a bunch of baseless bullshit with nothing even remotely legit backing it up.

I'm glad they're bringing the character in, but I'm not crazy about who they picked. Maybe he will prove me wrong. I guess it was unrealistic to still be hoping for Tom Jane after all this time anyway.

I think Bernthal is a good choice. His performance as Shane and Daryl were the only good things about TWD Season 2.
