^ You have to watch them from the beginning. Many critics note that Felicity pretty much had more chemistry with Oliver than Laurel (their intended female lead, oh how they failed) and it's one of the many strengths of the show.

That's hardly an accomplishment considering how terrible that Laurel chick is. It's the same with "The Flash", saying Barry has more chemistry with Felicity than Iris is also hardly an accomplishment since just about everyone in that series has more chemistry with Barry than Iris does.

 

[Ami]

She's written poorly and even with her, ahem, upcoming transformation, it's too little and too late. That's just my opinion, anyway. Oliver and Felicity have some the best chemistry I've seen in years imho, whether they're a couple or just friends bouncing off each other.

Spoiler: Arrow episode, but actually the second part of the crossover

I enjoyed it. It was great seeing the team at STAR Labs in Starling City (wat) without Wells. This episode, being as dark as Arrow is, probably had the better meaning whereas the previous one was slightly better. The crossover just proves how different the shows are, but still for very good reasons.

So Wells is Reversed-Flash (well one of them at least)? Shocks of all shocks, he definitely never acted evil before. So I'm guessing he's supposed to be Hunter Zolomon.

So Reversed-Flash stared at Eddie for a few seconds, foreshadowing?

I KNEW Wells was up to something all along, but he might be the Reverse Flash? Nah, I don't think so. It's too obvious and I'm sure it's Eddie after that long hard stare. A future Eddie, to be exact. He hates Barry and says they have history together. Besides, Eddie's becoming too much of a smug git and kind of boring at the same time, so it'll be inevitable he could become the Reverse Flash.

Him asking questions about the Flash and Joe telling him about metahumans got my mind into overdrive. I reckon Wells with his knowledge of the future sent Reverse Flash to intentionally kill Barry's mother to initiate the chain of events that would lead Barry to becoming the Flash, save the world and never disappear?

I've seen a few good theories and this is mine. I can't wait to see how it all unravels either way.

I still think it's too obvious. There has to be more to it. With his knowledge of the future, Wells could have easily made the technology.

There are multiple Reversed-Flash, Wells behavior and motivations are very similar to Hunter Zolomon, the second Reversed-Flash. I think that's probably gonna end up being the twist, that there's not just one Reversed-Flash after Barry.

That episode was a rollercoaster of emotions, but Carlie's summary of the final five minutes really summed it up well. Holy fucking shit indeed, looks like the show just opened up in a really... wow, just can't even.

Ok proper post, tbh the first 30 minutes or so were boring. I don't understand why the series thought it was a good idea to add a love quadrangle considering how lacking in everything Barry/Iris are. They should probably check out the first 2 seasons of LoK to see how quickly that can turn into a horrible, horrible idea.

Spoiler: Last 15 minutes

Wells revealing he's Eobard Thawne (I would've preferred if he was Hunter Zolomon, Cavanagh's performance fits that character better but we'll see how it goes), then killing Cisco which is obviously going to be undone next week. Barry revealing his identity to Iris (too bad that's probably going to be undone next week too) and then traveling one day into the past, just holy shit. Those last 15 minutes elevated that episode.

Well that was a huge let down.

Hey you know all those massive moments we gave you from "Out of Time"? Cisco’s discovery of Harrison Wells’ secret? Wells’ subsequent murder of Cisco? Iris confessing her feelings for Barry? Barry revealing his Flash identity to Iris? All gone in like the first 5 minutes and here's a much more inferior storyline as replacement. I mean I knew everything was gonna get undone but instead of coming up with variations to those events, they just erased them entirely. The time travel logic in this episode is really stupid. When Barry traveled back in time one day, shouldn't there be another Barry there? Or did he just vanished when future Barry got there? How exactly were The Weather Wizard and Captain Cold involvement on that day connected to each other?

And then there's Barry/Iris, it has really crossed the line into full on romantic plot tumor now and I've reached the end of my patience with this waste of time storyline. Is it really too much to ask that a superhero series doesn't do the same stereotypical romantic plots that we've seen a billion times already (love triangles, don't know if I should tell her the truth about my superpowers, she likes my alter ego better etc.)? Can't we just have a normal progression of two people spending time together and falling in love, then dealing with having a mature and stable relationship with all the superhero stuff going on? No?

The episode and retroactively the previous episode too are just lazy storytelling. They take this daring game changing moments for their series but they have this safety net with time travel so they can erased them quickly enough. Most of it didn't really matter and we're back to status quo.

Dr Wells' interpretation of Iris' feelings was bang on, but I really want them to move past this. I'm so disappointed Barry broke up with Linda, I quite liked their scenes together unlike Iris.

I'd say the only good thing about the episode was seeing Cisco and the relationship he has with his brother. It's probably my least rated episode of the series so far. I'm glad we did see that final scene with Barry starting to come to the idea that Dr Wells is up to no good, the setup for the finale is finally underway.

Oh, I'm not saying go back to it, but yeah. It's time they moved on and actually did something that worked. And honestly, I'd rather see Barry try a relationship (not Irish, shoo girl!) in season two since there's far too much going on after that last scene.
