Had some time today (due to coursework not being printed out in my class, so we were just literally sitting on our asses for half the day doing nothing) to do some sketches on my phone, playing around with a story of mine as if it were scenes from a film (ie: storyboarding). Just
really shitty scribbles like a preschooler might do with no references to help me visualise better ways of presenting a scenario, but I do have idea for when I have the means to do such (means being "the time"
). Trying to make use of my downtime, which there seems to be a lot of at this resource-neglected third party training institute.
Trying to visually communicate a fish out of water scenario, making rather familiar and mundane natural environments alienating in an atmospheric sense. Hopefully I can show folks something at some stage. <-- I feel like I've been saying that a lot with many of my projects, but then not following through
. I tend to cycle through my creative projects, as I get bored with one thing, so move on the next, rinse and repeat. I feel confident I'll have the means soon to do some show and tell at least. Hopefully in the next six months
.
I feel like this particular storyline is one of the weakest of mine thematically, and I'm barely at the "call to adventure" stage, so got quite a bit of writing to do yet, and I don't just wanna do some intellectually vapid action adventure ever again. I like the characters and the world I've developed though, which is basically what has inspired me to work with them. I have ideas for themes, just gotta work out how I'm gonna do it.
