Something like that. I'm also remembering it from days where there were topics such as "Most Hottest Male/Female" and Best "Male/Female" and it's like.. what's the difference?

I'm a good example. I'm not so good to look at, but I'm Alpha as fuck.

But seriously there are a lot of very similar categories and I feel awash with guilt for some very cool people not getting a single nomination from me (Ghost X, Octo, Strangelove, Claymore, Clement Rage, Alex Strife, RedFFWolf, Starling, Ami and so forth). Maybe a limit would be a good idea.

These awards get so much harder to choose because there always seems to be an influx of new and exciting characters every year that bring something unique to the table. Will nominate at some point, but I agree with the limit at the same time as good ol' Doc's just mentioned.

Will this limit also be brought in when the actual voting takes place?

Perhaps give weight to certain categories (i.e. Best of the Year votes have more weight than "most sexiest" / "fanciest chamber pot" etc.) And then calculate the votes accordingly so that those who win by a lower majority in other categories pass on to the next person on the list or something along those lines?

Also it might worth noting that you don't have to nominate anyone who's already been nominated - meaning if I didn't nom you, it's most likely because someone already did

I say keep it simple. The only limiting factor should be on the lifetime achievement award, simply so that nobody gets it more than once. For as many members as there are here to choose from, there are that many members that can vote. On top of that each member gets up to three votes in every category.

By the time we get to voting we're going to have a lot of participants in every single category. If everybody is voting for the same person by then well we know who the true heroes are.

I agree with Howl. I'm quite prone to thinking up elaborate rules for events myself but doing it after we've already decided on categories and started nominating people is probably not the best idea.

I joined on the last day of 2013. While I took part in a few discussions in 2014, I didn't really start getting involved in the forums until this year. I guess how new I am depends on if you measure from time since I joined or how chatty I've been in that time. I went from newbie to ascended member all this year.
