They could've used a shitload of helicopters.:P

But they did have other airships, I'm sure of it. There is one seen in Crisis Core on the airport. I'm sure that it wasn't the Highwind...:monster:
And the other airships in DC might be former ShinRa fleet ships.

Yeah airships are the only possible option to move the gargantuan thing.

Where was it before?

The merry ol land of OZ? :monster:

Tho really, considering Junon was only a small sea town back then I'd say they were either based at some town that isn't shown in the game or had their own special headquarters somewhere like the WRO does in DoC.

Isnt there only 1 entrance to most themeparks? It does seem odd that the skyrail comes from an old mining town, but i suppose it was once alot more prosperous. Hell, if you go to Vegas, it full of poverty on the outskirts

Frink: "Yes, alright, yes, in episode AG04-"
Lucy Lawless: "Wizard!"

One thing I wouldn't mind being explain is how one moves about from one section to the other. As far as I can tell each section of the Saucer is connected by a series of tubes you jump down. In order for this to really work, the tubes would have to have some sort of massive air current system to push people along, not to mention the incredible danger of traveling around the park this way.

It's amazing the Saucer is so successful because people are probably breaking arms and legs all the time just traveling from section to section!

How about the fact that the only way out of Icicle Inn is via snowboard. That must be one hell of an athletic community.

I can picture Gast soaring down the slopes.

Money. My group was rich as hell when I finished playing FF7. Multimillionaires for sure. So why are they not living it up in AC?

Also, Cloud bought a villa in Costa del Sol. Why does he not live in it?

I suppose all the money went into Fenrir. I also imagine that they have quite the inflation problem. Considering if any one wants to buy anything, they just have to step outside of town and shoot a few monsters.

Sister Ray - okay, so. In the space of SEVEN DAYS, they really disassembled, transported, and reassembled all that, with the use of trucks and the like? Bullshits.

They would have to transport the entire thing piecemeal, because just the disassembly portion would take a week. Not to mention the reassembling, testing it, building all the extra support crap, etc.

There was a huge lien on Costa Del Sol that Cloud inherited. That's where the money went.

He now rents it out, and that's why he doesn't live there, except once a year when he takes the family there for a week.

Also, how do you think Gast discovered Jenova? He caused an avalanche because of his skiing in prohibited areas, unsealing the cave her form had been locked away.

Two questions:
1. Why was there never any problem with the Highwind, as far as ShinRa trying to 'repo' it? They basically hijacked it out of Junon, right... and no questions were ever asked?

2. I always wondered why Dr Gast's lab/home in Icicle Inn was undisturbed for what, 20-something years? Power/electronics still working and all. The Shinra Mansion in comparison is completely trashed, has no power, and none of the equipment works.

The Gold Saucer thing is pretty funny. Most themeparks do only have one entrance and exit, although GS-- I certainly wouldn't want to be in there with a fire going on. The cable car, I suppose it's similar to a Monorail or Trolley system, used in many themeparks to get people from the parking lot to the themepark gates.

GS seems to be a giant web of physics-defying architecture. They've got a tangled web involving:
a: The structure itself is almost like a tree, with different levels being the different areas (Chocobo Races, Event Square, etc).
b: The cable car to come and go from the place
c: The gondola track
d: The Chocobo Race track (actually isn't there 2 tracks?)
e: The roller coaster track

I watched the GS date videos and realized all that ^. And then on top of it, they're shooting off fireworks in the middle of all that mess! Haha.

Imagine the entering gold saucer FMV sequence on ps3 graphics. So many of these shots would just look immense. Thats why a remake would own visually.

Chocobo races in HD, could look awsome.

I also thought that about north coral and the tram station. I'm guessing there is ment to be a small distance between the north coral and the tram station. As I assume North Coral was ment to be a fairly large place. And it was obviously in a prime location otherwise the train line wouldnt lead there.

A new one- who is their cell phone (PHS) provider? It must have the best cellphone reception in the history of cell phones- I mean you can use it anywhere: deep underground (Crater, Midgar tunnels), underwater (Gelnika), in the Airship, in the middle of nowhere (Icicle area).

Must be awful durable too. Can survive all that (including being wet), as well as the "wear and tear" of battle. Either that or they've got an incredibly expensive replacement bill on it. XD

Geez, even the best cell phones die in a subway station.

You know, you could apply the same question to GTA4, with all of the abuse that Niko Bellic puts his cell phone through, underwater, being shot at, explosions, fire, and it STILL works in the subway!

Why did Bugenhagen and Nanaki's mother lie to the little cub about his Dad? Why did they let him grow up thinking Seto was a coward instead of a hero? To me it makes no sense, but I am confident of receiving enlightenment on this forum.

His mother died right afterwards. And Nanaki was so angry, that he wouldn't have believed Bugenhagen even if he told him. Bugenhagen waited until he was of the right age where he was strong enough to go through the cave's dangers and see Seto for himself.

But it's still weird to have to live for decades thinking your dad's a jackass. IIRC, Bugenhagen says (in the English version) that Nanaki's parents asked him to keep his trap shut about it...

Perhaps it was to save him from a sort of survivor's guilt?

I have another question... After blowing up the first reactor, Cloud runs into some Shinra guards and escapes them by jumping onto a train. The guards surely saw him, so why didn't they have the train stopped?

Save Points are Cell Towers. On the world map, since you can save anywhere, there's always a tower in reach. In local maps, they have to be in JUST THE RIGHT F'ING SPOT (as it's known in the vernacular) to get signal.

Possibly A: They didn't think of doing it, B: Thought he was dead, or C: They did, and ShinRa wanted to know the hideout and so posted people to observe the stations.

@Cell Phones: Ryu is right. You can only use it at Save points unless on the world map. I now have a mental image of AVALANCHE running around holding their phones up in the air. "I don't have bars! I need bars! Oh I got a bar! Ah damn I lost it. Oh wait here! No!" lol

But of course maybe they have Verizon's 3G network, which is supposed to work everywhere, or so the commercials say. :monster:

I still would like to know how Vincent is able to get phone calls and picture messages while underground below the Shinra building in DoC though. Signal can't be THAT good. XD

It's probably C, I want to kick myself for not thinking of that. :(

And if memory serves me, don't they have their weapons with them after Jenova busts them out of their cells in the Shinra tower?

Point taken about the Save Points. But still, you just can't get a signal underground... I don't think you could, even standing by a tower.

And yeah, in DOC where Vincent is in Deepground was one of the things that made me ask that question. I want his cell phone provider, 'cuz that call was crystal clear! XD

@powerslave: Yeah, I think they have their weapons actually. They also have their weapons when they're caught in Junon.

Makes me think of that part in Chrono Trigger where you're imprisoned and you can't fight until you find all your items and weapons.
