As I mentioned briefly in one of my posts, lol, a client has reached out to me about work so this project is going to be put on pause a bit! I mean, I'll still work on it whenever I feel like I can, but it's gonna be on the back-burner for at least a week or two. Thanks for all your patience, you beautiful people! You've all been lovely!

... Never fails. Whenever it's my turn for something, there's inevitably some sort of delay. I swear, the universe conspires against me, sometimes...

I'd give my info for my chibi portrait, but I've been meaning to change my avatar for a while to my FFXIV character. Only thing holding me back is that there's an expansion coming out in a month so I decided to wait until then.

And after poking around "how to pronounce" sites for a minute, I heard both "cheebee" and "chibby" as well as "cheebeesu." So I say, pronounce it how you want

I say chibi 'chibby'. I also say manga like 'mana-uh' so sue me. I think 'mon-guh' sounds weird, regardless if it's the correct pronunciation or not. Sorry, I've just been saying it that way for so long it's stuck.

Okay so brief anecdote, in high school we did amateur student films which were horribly and intentionally poorly acted versions of other things which we called "Butcherings". One of these was a butchering of the Lord of the Rings trilogy which was told in 6 parts (around 2 hours all together) and there was a recurring joke in it about Legolas, Gimli and Aragorn just not giving a fuck and sitting around reading manga while everything else was going on.

The reason I bring this up is they all spoke in stereotypical southern accents modeled after our shop teacher Mr. Bocock and whenever they mentioned Manga they would shrilly and raspily go "MAYN-GA!"

Key quote, upon finding the Orcs have supposedly killed Pippin and Merry, only to discover they've destroyed their manga as well.

"Well friends live on... but look what they did to the MAYN GA!!!!!"
